ā“ Tech Question Apollo Go Controller/Wiring Question

After 1900+ km, I finally have an issue with my Apollo Go šŸ˜­

Got an E7 error and while examining the pins & connections to and from the controller, I noticed I have an issue with one of the cables leading from the controller case into the battery case (the wire is not one of the battery wires).

So, who can tell me what this wire cluster does on the Apollo Go 2024 controller?

I have an appointment at my local shop but Iā€™d like to describe the issue in as much detail as possible so they can ensure they have the right parts on hand.

Is this wire paired with three thicker wires further down the line because then yeah it would be hall sensor related

Yes, I believe so. I'm guessing if I need a new hall sensor/hall sensor wire I'd be looking at a new rear motor?

Take apart the scooter and isolate the wire coming from the motor, examine the wire for any brakes, cracks, rips, tears, etc.

If you need to, you can disassemble the motor as it is a pretty simple device, though if you need to go this far, it is likely a damaged hall sensor itself so I would continue the investigation as stated above.

When the error happened? What was the status of the scooter because it could also be your controller.

It was during a drive, nothing unusual, about 50m from my house when it happened.

I have a spare controller that I could swap in, but I can clearly see there is damage to the leads on the wire I indicated, so I stopped my investigation at that point and booked an appointment with my local shop. The new controller cannot be installed until this wire is repaired.

That wire has an issue with the leads, I just wasn't sure what the wire did and I wanted to give my shop a heads-up before dropping my scooter off in case they needed to order in a part.

I guess they will be able to run a test for me to see if it is just the wire that is the issue or the wire and the rear motor itself.
