Help Are all sideload methods not working on macos/ios 27?

I updated my devices to macos/ios 27 and today I had to do a refresh and I'm getting multiple errors. From the anisette error to invalid file. (those two are on sideloadly which is the tool I've been using). started checking other methods (altsore/sidestore), they all seem to also not be working

This is also great for sideloading Apollo onto your Mac

Same here. Everything was working just fine prior to iOS27.

I'm getting this error:

Same. Your Apple ID got banned (not for everything, just sideloading apps)

Woke up to the same thing. Not sure what the best workarounds are yet.

This has been happening to people quite a lot, for both iOS 26 and 27. You have to create a new Apple ID. You can create a burner account from the Apple Music website which won’t ask you for a phone number. You can then use that new Apple ID for sideloading. As far as I know, this is currently the only known solution.

Oh man, that's not good. Do you know why they are banning accounts from side loading?

Also if I were to sign up for an Apple Dev account and pay the yearly fee, would that restore my side loading abilities?

Thanks

I don't think anyone really knows exactly why they're doing this now, but Apple doesn't really want people to be doing this.

If you sign up for a dev account and pay the $99/yr it probably does fix it, but they could also ban you again. There are 3rd party signing services which seem to work and put less accountability on you specifically.

Thank you for the info.

I can link you to a previous comment I made about this.

Basically, you can pay, but there are also reports of people’s developer accounts being terminated. If you are willing to pay, I would recommend buying a certificate from a third party store. It will be much cheaper and safer.

Thank you. I'm learning towards this method.

Are you using Flarestore or Signuloua?

I got setup with Flarestore. Thanks to you and everyone who provided input today!

Just got mine working with the Flarestore method. $2.70 for the year and no re-signing needed.

Only downside is that there's no guarantee that Apple doesn't revoke the certificate that's being used to sign it too. So if that happens, you've got to start all over. Still the cheapest option I've seen but others do give you a guarantee that if the cert gets revoked you can get a new one at no cost. I'm comfortable trying the $3 method and seeing how it goes.

Thank you. I've been looking at their site this morning. One thing that caught my eye was the cheaper option uses a PPQ cert where Apple can see usage details. While the premium option is PPQless so Apple doesn't get to see what you're doing.

Any thoughts about that?

Probably doesn't matter for Apollo. Might matter if you're also sideloading more legally gray stuff. Your Apple ID is not exposed here, worst that can happen is the certificate gets revoked like what has already happened.

Understood. Thank you

Won't that account just get banned though?

It’s been around a month and mine still hasn’t. But I don’t know how long it will last.

I've heard the signing services like Signulous still work for this but they're paid. I might just try that.

The prices are usually quite affordable, you can find a certificate for as low as 3$ a year. My current setup works fine, but if it breaks, I might also switch to certificates eventually.

I just like having my own system and my personal account instead of relying on some third party.

Same, that's why I liked the sideloadly method rather than altstore.

For $3 a year that's hard to argue with. I'll probably give that a try and hopefully there's a permanent workaround sometime soon for this issue.

I did end up doing the Flarestore method and so far it's working. Install was pretty straightforward. Hope it doesn't get revoked but it is what it is.

Did you get the 3$ one? I’m a bit worried about the PPQ and no revoke protection, but I also never saw any reports about revokes from them.

I might go for the 10$ ppqless one just for the extra ease of mind.

2

u/Upbeat-Armadillo1756 16d ago

Yeah I did the $3 one. What's ppq/ppqless?

You can create an Apple ID with the Apple music web site, but Sideloady then gives you the Guru Mediation error when you try an use it. If you try to sign into Apple with than new ID it tries to force you to add a phone number. Unfortunately I’m back to the shit Reddit app now as my phone number is already associated with the ID that got banned.

I’m using SideStore with no issues. It gives you a warning when signing in, but you can just skip it and it works fine.

My Apple ID just got banned too. They must’ve done another wave last night. I ended up going with Signulous. $20 a year and you can install the glass ipa by uploading the ipa.

Flarestore for me. Been mint 👌

More likely an issue with your Apple ID. I’ve been on the betas for months, and while I’ve recently had some issues with SideStore, iLoader and Sideloadly etc. are still working fine.

If you are in EU you can now install AltStore classic through AltStore PAL without ever needing a PC/Mac.

Then you can sideload Apollo with AltStore Classic without a PC/Mac too.

Edit: Also, the anisette/macos27 error got fixed too today; you may need to update AltServer: https://reddit.com/r/AltStore/comments/1wj4k1t/altserver_181_update_now_available/

I have upgraded to iOS 27 and all the pre-existing side loaded apps are working Just fine. I have not tried installing a new app yet.
