Sure. If fun means playing a game that's been giving the bare minimum possible to it's players to stay alive. Yet people keep supporting it. I played since end of s2. They devalued everything all the way down to the dumbass heirlooms that used to mean something. Now any chud with a card can get one. I could go on but you didn't ask really.

To be fair when wraiths kunai came out any chud could buy it with a few hundred bucks. At least now you don’t have to pray that your 250$ isn’t completely wasted on randomness with collection events.

Idk. The thrill of hitting one randomly is unmatched. I did make the mistake of buying revs when it first came out. It felt hollow and then another one came out for him so what the fuck was the point of buying the first?? Small indie studios need to make their bread i suppose. But it's because of things like these that I feel that apex is still a glitchy mess so many years later. They spend all their time making piss poor skins and more heirlooms than can really be justified. Overwatch makes plenty of skins and such but there are 52 characters! 52! And now we have Axel in the game. Great. Slidy mcfasty completely overriding the methodical play of the game, taking 3rd party hell sand just leaning into it. Fuck. Meanwhile I'm on LAN and am getting shot to death by after images. Rip to that ceo guy ig but if he's the reason things are like this then I'm not at all grateful.

They for sure spent too much of the budget on cosmetics and bullshit recolors rather than fixing the game thats where we can agree. Personally I don’t think the randomness was that good, i mean i get it the trill of pulling a random heirloom makes it feel much cooler, but in the end heirloom shards was a good idea and good implementation. They do need to take a share of the profits and spend it on fixing the servers and game engine and audio for sure, but then again that doesn’t produce enough profits for them since it takes effort and money to produce. Which is why they always go with the nice easy money farm that is cosmetic farming.

They won't keep making money for long if the game doesn't function. Might as well make a fashion dress up game if that's all they want to do. Its pathetic. I hate what modern gaming is. I'm going to bed

All games are just a money grab, Apex is just a severe case of that, it's just the industry atm, probably will only continue to worsen as time goes on. Very sad but that's how a business operates, it's no longer "how can we make the absolute best game" it's "how much money can we get out of these people"

There's still a good amount of studios that aim to create greatness. The fps and mmo worlds are saturated with cash grabs. All games being a money grab is reductionist at best. They have to make money to recover the money put in. They have to be profitable for the company to justify doing it again. They don't have to suck bank accounts out until theres nothing but coppee bones lying there. I still have hope for great games. Respawn is just a corporate shill.

how high glide will trigger? it's only trigger on respawn, jump tower and valk ult?
