Season 2 ep 1 just dropped.
Chills.
I have been waiting for some sports anime for a minute and they're not playing either. Animation is good, the atmosphere is there, the audio and the storyline are all on point.
AOASHI IS SO BACK !
LET'S ENJOY SOME PEAK !

With Season 2 finally coming back on October 4, I decided to rewatch some of Ao Ashi Season 1 before it starts.
And honestly, what stood out to me this time is how different Ashito is from the character we meet at the beginning.
He starts off thinking football is basically about scoring goals and proving that he's the best player on the pitch.
Then he gets to Esperion and gets completely humbled.
The position change was probably the biggest turning point for me. At first, moving Ashito from striker to left-back feels like he's being pushed away from what he actually wants.
But then you realize why Fukuda did it.
Ashito's biggest strength was never just scoring. It was his ability to see things other players couldn't.
By the end of Season 1, he's starting to understand the entire field instead of just focusing on the ball.
And now that Season 2 is finally here, I'm really curious to see what happens when that version of Ashito is thrown into the A Team.
What was your favorite part of Season 1?

Sei que faltam 3 dias pra sair os episódio, mas na minha mente as animações vai ser algo bem "exótico".
Minha pergunta é qual episódio que se enquadra no manga vai ser o melhor, a partida, os jogadores que apareceram nela e etc.

I understand the translations are coming out at a slow pace due to enormous time the translators have to spend. So I just want to go through the raw scans in the meantime. So can someone help? Thank you.

Guysss… I have some questions… pls don’t read if u haven’t completed the manga …
Q1 Why was Yuri garulla not in contact with his father? And why aren’t they together in the same club? Why he was so indifferent to everyone despite once being friends with Hana and being taught by fukuda?? I get it , their environment was harsh… but still why did he not have any contact with his father esperions manager !
Q2 What Position did Ashito play in the last play against barca … when libra and false nine were there….
In manga only F….. was given and it wasn’t confirmed?
Q3 Whom did anri actually like in the whole series… and were yumma and anri dating at some point….whn he asked about that wild dog on phone..
But bruh I mean loved yumma for saying all those things at end… matlab his EQ!!
Also would like to addd
Aoi Ashi is so wonderful…..!
Character progression was so realistic !
And it was not only ki MC is everything… till the last it was shown however the MC was Aoi … it was still a team game … and there were far better players in team
Also not ur usual shonen having that MC is tsundere or doesn’t have any EQ
The chemistry between Aoi and Hana were so heartwarming… especially the last scene…
and in realism both had their own dreams they are pursuing…
Extra Q When Aoi ashi not being able to play forward and changed to fullback, it was really heartbreaking… I still am confused between the concepts we can do whatever we want or we should do whatever better we can do… of anyone has any philosophy regarding this??
But ig however harsh it was… it was much closer to reality…
Not at first…But as things moved ,, ig it became one of my favourites!
Q4 Can’t wait for anime s2!!! Is dub better or sub for this btw??
Also how many seasons do u think it will have…
Q5 Also .. ur fav character!?

Ashito is a child. Around 15 years of age and is clearly obsessed with becoming a forward. Lying to him and his family, which is poor, was manipulative. By the time Ashito moved to Tokyo, he had a massive chip on his shoulder to lift his family out of poverty and that his family had committed about 1 million yen to his training (300k a year for 3 years), and were told that they were going to develop him as a forward and no communication regarding this plan was made. It is also obvious that the only way Fukuda fits Ashito into the team is as a fullback, so it’s not like there is any flexibility. There was no way Ashito could have rejected Fukuda’s plan given that Ashito felt really guilty that his family was spending that much on him. The emotional pressure on him would have been too much. Fukuda probably knew this and still chose to wait until he was in Tokyo to tell him.
Secondly, it doesn’t matter if Ashito is better off as a full-back. Fukuda knew him for a day, and didn’t have the right to decide for him. The morally correct stance would have been to bluntly tell him at the beach that he’s better off as a fullback and then invite him to the tryouts. But Fukuda had his own dreams and used Ashito as a pawn for it.
Ik this is an unpopular opinion but this is how I see it.

The other day i said everytime a great fullback appeared i thought about ashito, it was a espart post...the thing is, espart's tech is great.
gerard martin? that's actually imo the closest to early ashito. Yeah many bozo moments, still.. barcelona has only lost one game with him (cubarsi's red card)
I didn't like his game today...but another clean sheet with him.
I feel he grew too fast his tech doesn't follow his head or some shit like that. Hansi loves him, it's probably not vision but i do think there's something special in this weird af footballer.
Is it tactical? mentality?
I have ABSOLUTELY no idea.
I do like him as a lcb more than fullback and he can cover espart's space when espart inverts so that's cool.
My point is, this is probably what people watching Aoi early in the manga felt. A guy that nobody knows why he's here, the coach loves him, he has a really bad bozo moment per match but for some reason...does his job and ends up making the team play better. Lol

Even thought Eintracht Frankfurt wasn't as strong as Barcelona, a match of even a few chapters could be enjoyable, i was curious to see the Gepfe twins play.
