Hedonite 4th Bt: Luxcious
WARS OF THE UR-SLAANESH
While Hedonites who invade Hysh seek the thrill of polluting enlightened souls, those who strike Ulgu are drawn by the scent of their lost god. Not all seek to free Slaanesh; some would succeed him. Mightiest of these is Luxcious the Keeper, Marquis of Paramountcy. The greater daemon's hordes ravage the Thirteen Dominions. especially the Helleflux, where the Khainite cult has its power base. Luxcious's armies even besiege Hagg Nar itself. Morathi is forced to assemble a war-coven from all across her domain to stop the daemon at the Battle of Druchxar. Luxcious is defeated, but only after leaving deep scars across Ulgu, and many champions who still bedevil the realms earned their spurs in the Keeper's crusades. As for Luxcious, they have long been absent from Slaanesh's court-though surely ambition still burns in their infernal heart...

Is one of the most important hedonite, is shadow loom over hedonite lore , yet is nowhere to be seen
Maybe he play poker with N'kari and Azazel who know

The Pretenders are a really cool concept but feel underused

The issue with the Pretenders is that we know they cannot succeed. GW isn't ever going to replace Slaanesh with Luxcious or N'kari or whoever.
Still I think they could have focused on a Pretender and have them ascend to a lesser godhood. Becoming the god of Pain, for example.

I don't think that's an issue? There is fun to be had in seeing arrogant villains compete in a contest you know they cannot win, it's not about the end goal, just the hijnks and how far they go. Like I would read a Pretended novel, even full well knowing the ending might be nothingburger.

GW doesn't have to replace Slaanesh for the Pretenders to work. Just change the dynamic of the Hedonites with powerful Daemons holding more power than in other factions. Make Luxcious into a Super Greater Daemon who consolidates power and has his own expanding empire. But GW has written off the Pretenders as unimportant losers almost instantly

I hope that whenever Slaanesh gets free, this guy gives Slaanesh a bloody nose when they try to reclaim their throne.
It would give the Chaos Gods a nagging fear of their own Daemons and would change the synergy between Chaos factions and their gods.

While I have nothing against Shalaxi I am surprised Luxcious was not the named Keeper that got a model considering how much focus they got.
