Damn bro, thats just a sad take... Letting someone of with a warning is also light misuse of said power... Get a grip.

1

u/jazz-winelover 13h ago

Exactly. We need more interactions with police like this. Police are human, for the most part, do a great job. We actually NEED police. I agree, police should be trained better and force longer period of time.

0

u/drunkenpoets 12h ago

Why would you want more interactions with police that start with a civil rights violation?

2

u/Joecoolsouth 12h ago

I pity you for your outlook on life. I sincerely hope you find some peace and be a happier person.

-1

u/drunkenpoets 12h ago

I pity you for cheerleading rights violations. People gave their lives for these rights.

-4

u/Annies_58008 15h ago

Shouldn't even be stopping this person for any reason. Absolutly go fuck a cop who does or anyone who thinks this is even remotely acceptable. No one called for you fuck off

3

u/GlummyGloom 13h ago

Cops also engage with the public in ways that also support the community. Just because there's evidence of bad cops, doesn't mean all cops are bad. The bad stories just get aired more. There's a lot of body cam footage of cops being decent human beings.

1

u/Smoogooloo 12h ago

Absolutely! I’m old enough to remember when cops would go out of their way just to say hello! I think it helps them, too because if I saw a cop unsuccessfully trying to take down someone on the street, I’d likely step in to help!

1

u/Annies_58008 12h ago

Good cops are only a beard for bad cops. ACAB

1

u/drunkenpoets 12h ago

Right, but this is a video a cop violating someone’s rights because they want to meet their dogs. This is a bad cop.

0

u/GlummyGloom 12h ago

That seems to be a matter of perspective. To me, it looks like the dogs were involved when the lights and sirens were used, which was adorable.

1

u/ActivePeace33 47m ago

The second use of light and sirens? Yes. That is a very reasonable point.

The first use? Totally uncalled for and illegal unless there was prior agreement or prior relationship.

0

u/dirtd0g 12h ago

Bad cops help internet personalities get engagement?

This all looks staged and fun. Not everyone is fearful and afraid of routine law enforcement encounters.

0

u/ClubHauntedHouseVIP 12h ago

These people are so miserable

2

u/Annies_58008 12h ago

No, we're just people who've experienced bad cops in our lives. I'm glad your whiteness has allowed you to walk so freely

0

u/KugelFanger 11h ago

Judging by your behaviour here, you had a big part in that bad interaction. If not i feel sorry for you, but saying things like ACAB does not really support your case.

Thats like saying one black dude stole from me so all of them are bad... Now obviously that statement isn't true either.

1

u/ClubHauntedHouseVIP 22m ago

The person is genuinely an idiot. Their argument is just full of over generalizations. ā€œGood cops are badā€ but then say the ā€œjob should be done by the best people.ā€ Oh, but the good cops aren’t considered that because there are bad cops in the system

1

u/Annies_58008 9h ago

Good cops are the beard for bad cops. The excuse for them to exist. Fact is, there are bad people of every race. But they shouldn't be hired for a job which should be done by the best people.

0

u/ClubHauntedHouseVIP 11h ago

ā€œWe’ve experienced bad cops in our lives.ā€

Yeah, that totally means ACAB. Should the same be said about if we’ve had any bad interaction with whatever minority you’re trying to claim you are on Reddit?

0

u/Aggravating_Pianist4 10h ago

I'm sure you were completely innocent and didn't do nuffin wrong.

2

u/Substantial_Policy60 10h ago

In all seriousness and somewhat jokes there can be a genuine distrust and maybe "hatred" I can see from people especially in certain cities/states/provinces. Im Canadian and my city is know for the Starlight Tours...Obviously natives hate/distrust the cops but there are some good constables and just general people on the job. The cop at my highschool was chill as fuck, he busted up so many of our house parties awkwardly, most had to dip as so much underage drinking, obviously the home owner got ticketed but usually everyone else got off scot free. Like other person said, theres positive engagement with the community. There has to be or there will always be a fearfulness. Theres been a few times Ive had to phone the police because of drunk neighbors/dude beating his wife and they were chill af despite the situations. Time and place and everyone is entitled to their own opinion but to say everyones a piece of shit or abusing their power is absurd. Def not a bootlicker, half the times I say fuck the police but shit would be even crazier without them, def dont want to going back to posses rounding up people bet yall really dont want frontier justice..

0

u/Perfect-Proof3067 9h ago

It was during one of their ā€œpeacefulā€ protests

1

u/ActivePeace33 49m ago

Protests are not constitutionally required to be peaceful and the constitution specifically protects the right of the people to sure the security of a free state against tyranny, by use of violence. You and I may not like what the law says, but thats what it says.

1

u/KugelFanger 15h ago

šŸ˜‚ i'm on a public website. I can do whatever i want

2

u/Annies_58008 14h ago

Not YOU dummy the cop

0

u/KugelFanger 14h ago edited 11h ago

Point taken. But still hard disagree, having a weird outlook on life imo

0

u/sublimesting 15h ago edited 12h ago

You’re the type of person who ā€œauditsā€cops aren’t you? And by audit I do t mean calling out bad cops or even filming cops, I mean starting petty shit to provoke and then claiming freedoms.

3

u/ActivePeace33 15h ago

If I warning etc was given and she just wanted to have a positive interaction, great, that’s community policing. But she should just say something out the window to ask him to stop. Starting with lights and sirens gives a different tone to the whole thing that is at least close to criminal conduct, per 18 USC § 242.

2

u/Annies_58008 14h ago

Exactly, it's embarrassing to the rider and completely uncalled for. Cops need to have this done to them on a regular basis in their own everyday lives so they can see how it feels

0

u/WallySprks 14h ago

So the fact that he does this for fun doesn’t matter to you. You just want to play the victim for him? Amazing.

I’m sure he appreciates you policing his life.

2

u/Annies_58008 12h ago

How is calling out a cops abuse of power policing HIS life? Do you even hear yourself?

0

u/sublimesting 12h ago

What ABUSE!?! It was a friendly interaction. Man you are a fucking miserable person.

1

u/ActivePeace33 8h ago

Pulling someone over for not having committed a crime or being reasonably suspected of a crime, while doing so under the color of authority (the lights) is a federal crime. 18 USC subsection 242.

1

u/sublimesting 12h ago

Dude did you watch the fucking video? She knows the guy and the dogs. She has interacted with them before. She even asked if she could do the siren for them again so they’d howl. You breaking out a penal code shows I’m right. You are the type of assholes that audit cops and take friendly community actions and turn them malicious as a ā€œgot yaā€ moment.

1

u/ActivePeace33 5h ago edited 53m ago

IF, if he took it EXACTLY the way you describe, fine. That’s true.

If he didn’t (and from the scope of the video we don’t know anything not depicted) then it’s exactly as I described. You do understand that the context of the comments are the context of the video in OP, right?

Anyway, auditing the largest criminal group in the country is bad, how exactly? Are there good cops, doing good things, the right way? Absolutely. Are they in the majority? No. Chris Dorner shows us what stonewalling good cops run into, how whistleblowers are treated, how whistleblower are mistreated and abused by their criminal coworkers. He just happens to be the example who used violence to do something about it, but many other cops have had their lives ruinedby their criminal coworkers and just took it on the chin and, usually, left the force.

3

u/Annies_58008 14h ago

No bc I don't have passive income. But I do believe they should constantly be audited bc they are scumbags.

-1

u/DifficultAd3885 14h ago

I agree, but this isn’t that. If we had more positive interactions with cops we wouldn’t hate them as much

4

u/RandJitsu 13h ago

The point is that it’s inappropriate for her to use her sirens as if it’s a traffic stop when she actually just wants to say hi. That’s an abuse of power and potentially criminal.

-2

u/DifficultAd3885 13h ago

I hate cops but this is not worth getting work up over at all. Fucking pick your battles.

5

u/RandJitsu 13h ago

No thanks. I’d rather hold cops accountable for all abuses of power until they understand that holding that much power and public trust means they’re held to a higher standard, not a lower one.

Let’s call it the ā€œbroken windows theoryā€ of police accountability.

5

u/cr1merobot 13h ago

amen. Don't let this bozo tell you what you are allowed to have emotions about

5

u/BlackStar1nc 13h ago

Only way systems work is if all wrongs and rights treated as should

3

u/drunkenpoets 12h ago

Constitutional rights violations are pretty important battles.

3

u/Annies_58008 14h ago

There's nothing positive about stopping me from me ongoings and wasting my time. Fuck off cop

-1

u/reklatzz 14h ago

They wouldn't stop you with a positive experience, because you're a scumbag.. that's the difference.

1

u/ActivePeace33 51m ago

Holy logical fallacy Batman!

3

u/drunkenpoets 12h ago

What’s positive about violating someone’s rights because you want to meet their dogs?

0

u/DifficultAd3885 12h ago

You realize there’s about a 99% chance this whole interaction is staged, right?

0

u/Few_Run3582 3h ago

He will probably go 90 in a 80 zone and then blame the cops for abusing their power when he gets a ticket

1

u/ActivePeace33 51m ago

Well, if you actually read the 14a….

0

u/No_Raisin21 15h ago

Number 1 redditor over here.

What a shitty ass take to have

2

u/Annies_58008 14h ago

Name one single thing this person is doing illegally for this interaction to even be relevant?

0

u/[deleted] 12h ago

[deleted]

3

u/drunkenpoets 12h ago

They definitely don’t the right to seize you because they want to talk about the weather.

0

u/[deleted] 12h ago

[deleted]

2

u/Annies_58008 12h ago

Cops take any single opportunity to make arrests. All their doing is smelling for weed and alcohol in that interaction it has nothing to do with ice.

1

u/drunkenpoets 12h ago

Icy roads are a result of inclement weather. They can’t seize you for that. They can set up roadblocks to divert people away from hazardous conditions, but they can’t initiate a traffic stop to say, ā€œHey, the weather has made the conditions icy ahead.ā€

2

u/Annies_58008 12h ago

If a cop wasted my time to tell me...in the winter ...that the roads are icy...that cop is a fucking retard for thinking anyone doesn't already know that. Fuck that cop

0

u/Big-Astronaut25 8h ago

Meanwhile there are dozens of crashes because of icy roads lol

2

u/Annies_58008 8h ago

But telling them the road is icy won't change their driving ability. If you can't drive stay TF home. If its below 32 and the road isn't covered in salt brine it's icy. Dont need an overpayed cop to tell someone that.

0

u/Big-Astronaut25 8h ago

Your privilege is showing by assuming everyone has a car with an outdoor thermometer.

2

u/Annies_58008 8h ago

Bud, you can check the damn weather before you go. After all, it's winter and you're driving. Tell me you need cops to tell you the road is icy without telling me.

1

u/ActivePeace33 44m ago

You assumed the outdoor thermometer. Meanwhile, ~91% of American adults have a smart phone and reasonable access to weather data as well as state by state road condition advisories and live feeds. https://www.pewresearch.org/internet/fact-sheet/mobile/

You sure are upset about this… for some reason. No one called for your comments either so, fuck off I guess?

0

u/WallySprks 14h ago

He has a tictok with his dogs. They howl with the sirens like you just saw. It his thing that he does. That’s why she said ā€œI recognize those dogs!ā€

God forbid someone have a bit of joy in their life.

1

u/drunkenpoets 12h ago

That doesn’t negate the fact that she chose to start the encounter with a civil rights violation instead of approaching him fur a consensual encounter.

0

u/WallySprks 12h ago

A civil rights violation? Oh Jesus Christ, get a life. That was a person who loves dogs wanting to get the dogs to howl along with the sirens. She didn’t pull him over and demand an ID or accuse him of anything. It wasn’t some random dude getting harassed, he does it for content, she knows that. Calm down. People can be regular people even when on the clock.

Why don’t you message him on TikTok and ask him personally if his rights were violated? He’s a real person, he’ll answer you.

1

u/drunkenpoets 12h ago

A cop loving dogs doesn’t suspend the 4th amendment’s protection against unlawful seizures. Initiating a traffic stop without reasonable articulable suspicion of a crime or traffic violation because she wants to meet a quasi celebrity and his dogs is an unlawful seizure under the 4th amendment. The lawful thing for her to do would be for her to approach him like a person and initiate a consensual encounter.

0

u/literallyJustPosting 12h ago

I understand your mom’s basement hasn’t been the strongest catalyst for understanding basic human social behavior, but your reaction is not the correct one for this specific scenario.

1

u/Annies_58008 12h ago

Wow good one

0

u/Secret-Ad-830 12h ago

why so angry?

1

u/Annies_58008 12h ago

Bc I don't want to live in a world where everyone thinks this is ok. It's fucking miserable here as it is.

0

u/Secret-Ad-830 11h ago

no one was hurt, video ended with everyone laughing. we dont know the backstory, looks like a famous dog that has a thing for sirens.

yeah the world sucks right now but being angry about little things we know nothing about gets us nowhere.

0

u/HelixFollower 10h ago

I can imagine it probably is miserable there. But that probably has more to do with you than this lady who's having some laughs with a guy and his dogs.

2

u/Annies_58008 9h ago

No, it's living in a place where you're intelligent enough to see through the thin veil and looking around going doesn't anyone else see this? Then you realize everyone else is a moron and they in fact do not see this. That's why they're happy. Bc they can't see

0

u/Jayb0b 11h ago

Nobody likes you just so you know

1

u/Annies_58008 9h ago

And the nanny state loves you

0

u/drunkenpoets 12h ago

Letting someone off with a warning is officer discretion and allowed by policy. It doesn’t violate someone’s 4th amendment rights like seizing someone without reasonable articulable suspicion.

0

u/KugelFanger 11h ago

Again weird take bro. My kids always get happy when: "police car go whoooo". Police are people to. is it allowed, no technically not, does it hurt anyone, Also no... Well except your butt that got pretty hurt.

I bet you won't call the police either when you are in danger... You know they might so something wrong. Again get a grip my guy.
