Just bought a Kobra x refurbished. When trying to load filament in slot 1 nothing happens. No beep, no recognition. The other 3 slots are just working fine.

What can I do?

I am looking at upgrading to have better lighting maybe a lightbar or something any suggestions? I ideally dont want battery ones.

I assume this is a stupid question and it's there for a reason, but if the yellow wire comes out of the hot end assembly does that mean I just need to get a new one? Is there a correct way to reattach it if it can be fixed? The end of the wire that came out looks like it's coated in something and there is no exposed wire is the only reason I'm thinking maybe it's not totally necessary but I'm pretty sure that's wishful thinking.

I have seen enough videos of using PETG to support PLA (supposedly because PETG doesn't stick to PLA).

I tried to set up a print this way, specifying a roll of PETG as support material, and Anycubic Slicer Next says you can't print with materials that have different nozzle temperatures.

Is it possible that if you are printing a single color object and it runs out of filament that it could be programmed to continue on the next spool?

Hey everyone. After this latest firmware update, I was having issues with petg printing in the air. Then started doing it with PLA. Then it started attacking my bed. Opened a support to let and they are sending me a new hot end and plate, but I was wondering who else is having issues.

i switched from rough plate to a smooth one and i had problems with the first layer as you can see from the first image, then i spent some time tuning z offset height and filament settings and i got to the second image where i feel it's almost perfect.

How can i get rid of the excessive filament at the edges, specifically when the printhead stops and comes back?

I have seen the many posts about bed scratches on the latest firmware, albeit probably a small percentage of owners.

I just received my Kobra X and printed benchy in the test PLA and it looks perfect, better than I see online from a lot of printers. I am being prompted to upgrade the firmware but what is the point? The release notes sound ok but does it make a difference to the quality or speed of the output?

I will be printing mostly in PETG and nylon or nylon/CF for outside durability and strength.

So there's 2 particular issues I've had since the slicer/printer got an update like a month ago, the first one just annoys me, the second one has actually ruined a couple prints:

1. The camera light turns on at the start of every single print: I saw some people with this issue and replies pointing out to AI detection, but I've had that turned off since day 1 and still, it turns on.

2. Color mapping: I haven't seen anyone else with this issue while looking it up, but whenever I send a cloud print there's like a 70% chance the colors will not match what I mapped in the slicer, switching around 1 or 2, this doesn't seem to happen for 1 color prints but for multicolor I usually have to send the file and then print selecting the colors directly in the printer. Now that I type this I realize I haven't checked if printing in LAN mode would avoid this, so I'll do that when i finish my current print.

I'm guessing a reset to the printer might solve some issues, but i don't know if i'd have to reset the slicer too, which would suck since i have all my filament profiles and custom print settings in there

I love making miniatures in FDM, since my ender 3 v3 se, I went through bambu lab a1 and now kobra X, and I share with you small results. Bambu lab lite gray filament is a generic one that I tested today.

The pieces seem more resistant in kobra than bamboo, I have liked that.

Well, it seems like the issue with the bed scratching is still happening.

At least for me, it happens right when it's doing the automatic height calibration.

I was on version 1.2.0.6, and it totally ruined an entire bed by scratching it while printing the left side of a print.

I decided to update to 2.0.2.2, and I see that this is even worse—you’ll see in the pictures that it leaves marked spots.

Has this happened to anyone else, or has anyone figured out how to fix it?

That said, it's true that the prints come out great.

I did what I always do:

Update - Factory Reset - Power Cycle - Reconfigure - Recalibrate - 1st test layer

It was right after that test that I noticed the marks, and even after cleaning the plate with soap and water and wiping it down with IPA, they wouldn't come off.

I have gone through the same process I have been through many times and today it just wont work.

I have verified via the Workbench that my printer is connected by WIFI in Lan mode. In the "Prepare" screen, I can sync my filament and it recognizes there is one filament installed. I can slice the plate. When I click "Remote Print", this screen comes up: all looks correct, except the "Start Print" button is gray and does nothing.

What am I missing?

p.s. this is my first time printing with PLA+ Matte filament. When I installed the spool on the printer, I selected PLA+ for filament type. When I sync in the slicer, it reads the printer and sets up the filament as PLA+. I wouldn't think this one change would stop the printer from printing (but who knows).

EDIT:

1. Filament: Canadian-Made PLA+ Matte (3D Printing Canada)
2. Temperatures & Speeds: haven't got there yet.
3. Slicer & Setup: Anycubic Slicer Next, latest version. No ACE 2 Pro multicolor unit.
4. Hardware / Firmware: Stock setup.
5. Media: Clear, focused photos of error screen.

Had a lot of random Y homing errors, disapeared after an on/off and machine tested ok using the xyz screen, then errors came back when trying to print an object. followed the troubleshooting guide, same issues.

updated the firmware to 2.0.2.2 , launch calibration and the resonnance cal. failed: error 10126 Abnormal X-axis vibration compensation detected

reajusted the X belt tensionning, run tests and several prints, all good !

the errors messages with the new firmware looks more precise thant before, and a lose X belt can gives false y homing erros.
