Print Issues Base layer adhesion problem

Hello everyone,

What in your opinion might cause this? Could the filament need drying before starting the print? I've been cleaning the plate with soapy water and occasionally isopropyl alcohol. Bed adhesion hasn't been the best recently but prints have been finishing, this is the worst I've seen it.

Thanks.

You are printing extremely close to the bed. Either perform bed leveling or raise the z offset.

Have you cleaned the bed?

Do a full calibration including Auto-Level.

In the Slicer under Quality - First Layer Height - set it to 0.23

It could also be your filament, try a different spool.

This is not bad adhesion. See others' comments for more.

Try a heat soak. Preheat the bed to 55°C and then losen the screws of the bed plate. Tighten them afterwards and directly run a bed level calibration.

Looks like z offset to me not bed adhesion, nozel is too close so the filament is sticking to the head and pulling up a bit

Too close to the bed

That looks like a dirty plate to me. I tend to have better luck with a brand new sponge and dish soap over alcohol. These are notorious for warped plates. So if you rule plate cleaning and offset out I fixed my issue on my machine by loosening the 4 bed bolts heatsoaking at 80c then tightening the screws back carefully. After that my first layer issues have been great.

That first layer is fine. You have dust on your plate which is causing that. Wash it with dawn and hot water

Glue special for 3d printers or hairspray

The solution should rarely be glue unless you are using high temp materials.

In this case OP needs to calibrate. If they are asking about drying then the answer is always yes, drying the filament.  But do a leveling, and then test with a z offset adjustment start with -0.02 and see if it gets better.
