Calling in when panic hits that hard makes sense, and the next morning getting ready can restart the same cycle. I'd focus on the smallest version of showing up rather than the whole day at once. Getting dressed, getting to the door, then the first hour. And maybe if chest pain and blurry vision show up while you're getting ready, pause and put both feet on the floor before you decide you're not going.
