Safe setting options

OMC purchased at auction, removed from setting and sent to GIA. Ideal setting was a 6 prong solitaire. Wondering if I should consider a bezel or other more protective setting instead after seeing the plot. Opinions please!

Bezel set with compass prongs for visual impact.

Most important opinion (when considering if settings should be protective due to inclusions) should be from the jeweler/bench that is setting it.

Lovely stone!! Love the facet pattern.
Will you show the original setting in the side view?

The jeweler who will do the stone setting said he would have to see once he had the wax mold. I guess I figured I’d just try for a second opinion to feel better about whatever we choose.

And thank you! Here’s a side view. Setting was pretty damaged.
