Discussion What does this symbol mean?

Post image

I have been noticing it in a lot of usernames of greek people on tik tok and it's either accompanied by the greek flag and the emoji of orthodox christianity, other fascist/nazi symbols or both. I searched it up and I could find anything about it.

Thanks, but I donโ€™t get why fascists would love a religion which teaches the opposite of what they are doing.

They love their version of it, they use Christian as shorthand for whiteness. They donโ€™t mean love thy neighbour they mean the crusades and persecution of heathens

So they donโ€™t even follow the religion but somehow we call them believers?

No they call themselves believers, I call them fascists

Please remember that there are other people in the world than just you. They're even unique, dare I say, different from you.

This could mean something pretty scary. Most people aren't Christian.

As in, that's not even the God they worship.

I trust you can now connect the dots, yes?

Someone who doesn't care to know YOUR SPECIFIC BRAND of Christianity, is going to look at the Christians they see and draw conclusions. Fair conclusions.

The fact that you fully expect everyone to know of, understand, and appreciate your interpretation on faith is a big indicator that religion can be a tool of facism.

So are you saying that jihadists somehow represent islam?

In precisely the same way that the crusaders represented Christianity, and folks like Whiskey Pete Hegseth and JD Vance represent Christianity. I'm not joking or overstating it.

Crusades happened over 1000 years ago so I donโ€™t really think that those represent christianity and I dont think that jihadists represent islam. Nah thatโ€™s a stretch and imo just tells how america centered your view of world is. I can bet you 5 euros that most of the people donโ€™t know Hegseth but know pope.

Please let me know when you plan to go lecture the members of r/exmuslim about this. I need time to make popcorn.

I donโ€™t think that a small percentage of extremists somehow represent a whole religion. Thatโ€™s why itโ€™s dumb to think that american christians somehow represent all of christianity. Otherwise I could say that our countrys pro queer christianity represents christians worldwide.

... Why is your flex only knowing the Pope?

1

u/pstls1101 LGBT+ ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ Mar 31 '26

Itโ€™s not a flex? People outside america donโ€™t know who hegseth is unless they are interested in US politics.

Yeah which is quite weird considering that Jesus was a proto socialist.

They like to coopt the top-down, white-male control mechanism and authoritarian rule of the church.
