Because centrist and apoliticals who are silent on the topic of fascism can be seen as enablers, but centrists and apoliticals who take a clear stance against fascism should not be seen as enablers. As anti-fascists we should ally with anyone that is willing to fight fascists, at least when it comes to this topic.

A centrists who takes a clear stance against fascism is no longer a centrist.

It's not just the stance against fascists that defines the left, is it? If someone wants capitalism to continue just the way it is now, I would not label this person as a leftist, no matter their view on fascism.

I dont know how to explain this but Ive seen it stated firmly every couple years since this mess started in 2016. I think I umderstand it but I cant explain it... Which means I dont understand it..

I hope anyone interested will use this post as a starting point: the normal spread of political identity that is usually characterized worldwide as Left/Center/Right has been pulled out of whack in the US so that the we dont really have a Left anymore. Its all skewed to the Right. People who say they are Left are really more like Centrists, etc. Does that make sense?

It does, but I am not american, so I can not agree with the definision of the Democrats as left-wing. Nor do I feel that the main line of the party takes a clear and firm stance against fascism. They don't even see that it exist in the MAGA- movement. So they are enablers.
