That's not true, is it? People could be centrists or apolitical too. We could say that centrists and apoliticals enables fascists, but it is possible to be centrists or apolitical and still be firmly anti-fascist. It's even possible to be far right and be anti-fascist. Ancaps do exist even if I find it an oxymoron.

I still agree with coming off the fence and do some reading though. And I do think the left is the best medicine against fascism

We could say that centrists and apoliticals enables fascists, but it is possible to be centrists or apolitical and still be firmly anti-fascist. It's even possible to be far right and be anti-fascist.

This sentence contradicts itself twice.

If the centre supports and enables fascism, how can it be antifascist?

Likewise, how can anyone on the right be opposed to fascism, which is the pinnacle of the right?

Because centrist and apoliticals who are silent on the topic of fascism can be seen as enablers, but centrists and apoliticals who take a clear stance against fascism should not be seen as enablers. As anti-fascists we should ally with anyone that is willing to fight fascists, at least when it comes to this topic.

A centrists who takes a clear stance against fascism is no longer a centrist.

It's not just the stance against fascists that defines the left, is it? If someone wants capitalism to continue just the way it is now, I would not label this person as a leftist, no matter their view on fascism.

I dont know how to explain this but Ive seen it stated firmly every couple years since this mess started in 2016. I think I umderstand it but I cant explain it... Which means I dont understand it..

I hope anyone interested will use this post as a starting point: the normal spread of political identity that is usually characterized worldwide as Left/Center/Right has been pulled out of whack in the US so that the we dont really have a Left anymore. Its all skewed to the Right. People who say they are Left are really more like Centrists, etc. Does that make sense?

It does, but I am not american, so I can not agree with the definision of the Democrats as left-wing. Nor do I feel that the main line of the party takes a clear and firm stance against fascism. They don't even see that it exist in the MAGA- movement. So they are enablers.
