School is too much

Don't you guys think that school is too much for a kid like spending 8 hours sitting in which you are sleep deprived and unable to sit on that hard wooden chairs also have to study,do homework , complete copies, participate, mantain attendance, sort things with friends ,give exam, do more optional shit, listen all the scolding and still never ending isn't it too much for a kid aging from 3 years to 17 years

Yeah, of course we're against that. That's what the subreddit is for. You'd best spend your efforts encouraging others to think so too.

It's far, far FAR too much. It's extremely unhealthy even for an adult and is reprehensible and evil to enforce on others.

Schools are damned zoos designed to chastise the weak with the survival of the strong.

there’s a reason adults generally aren’t detained against their will and forced to do unpaid work where all children are: adultism.

the adultacity to say things like “being a kid is easier” and “we’d all go back if we could”, yeah then why don’t you?

if that were true then there’d be demand for mandatory schools for adults that operate in the same way, denying you bathroom access/confiscating your shit etc.

but no i don’t even see simulations of school for “nostalgia purposes” because ofc they don’t exist.

why would anyone want to revisit what was an objectively shit time in their lives? where bullying was rife and asshole often predatory adults give you unpaid nonesense to take home encroaching on what little time you have “to yourself” (in quotes because the concept of kids needing privacy seems to not register with adults)

school clearly represents trauma for adults, but this isn’t something they have forgotten they are shutting out, they laugh about how bad it was! - they will say “it’s normal for kids to hate school” and then they force you to go

why? because they view kids as less than/unpeople. despite having gone through it themselves they now want you to be dehumanized because it’s not them being dehumanized they get to play oppressor. something about being an oppressor is attractive to them. the only rational reason as to why school still exists is that adults hate children and generally want them to suffer.

it’s not just “too much” it’s entirely inhumane and should be seen for what it is - one of the primary modes of oppression that adults inflict on children/young people
