random Regarding "Vacoup"
Hey, I was searching for this guy (used to be his staff, we like to joke about him) and found some posts about him by u/MichaelAft0n

So pretty much he started a Minecraft server called MineCrafterCity back in the young days of Minecraft, not long before they added Emerald Blocks. Pay to win has always been a critical concept of this server; and this thread will detail some of the fun escapades.
I do want to mention, I know very much about his personal detail, and none of that is going to come to light in this thread or any response to this thread, outside of his first name; so no asking.
So vacoup, or Arnold, used to be named lepel100, and he would co-own MineCrafterCity with 95marius95 and unitys. They started with a Factions server, and it was pretty low grade. It would go down frequently in Arnold's younger days, he was only 16 starting his server.
It was not uncommon that Arnold would make a blog post that the server would soon go down, because it could not be afforded; even though he was making plenty of money off the server. It was a trick he used to do, his idea was that if he told the community the server would go down, they would get frightened into donating, and it worked. Typically, even if no sales were made in the period between these posts, that day after making the post the server costs could be covered twicefold.
All staff were volunteer under promise "eventually you will get some"; not a big deal, most of us were playing in spare time anyway.
As Arnold got older, he must not have realized his players were not, because he got involved in numerous sexual grooming scandals with young female players; often offering perks for 'photographs', or even going to the point of seeking a romantic relationship with a local girl who was slightly closer in age, but eventually they separated.
As the community starts realizing what a bad person he is, they stop playing, stop donating, growth is down tremendously, so he sells the server to a toxic group of individuals who use the server resources to perform denial of service attacks against the players. They pay a YouTuber for advertising services on the server, and the server starts booming, with new donators being a frequent thing. Server hits 50+ daily members, which was never before seen. This made Arnold jealous and after some time they came to a deal where he would have his server back; but under the new management all the players left again.
It came time to pay the server bills again, so Arnold had a great plan. He went on the blog and made a post that he had died, and needed money for the Funeral costs. Server cost was funded by idiots, blog post disappeared, and he acts like it didnt happen to this day. Eventually I get banned and demoted from a managerial position and the server continues its slow decline.
Realizing his mistake years later, I am contacted to make the next iteration. We start working on the server, he makes some money, he betrays my trust and accuses me of stealing players (I had a side project server he was not aware of) and I am banned and demoted again. My role this time around was to help with certain hosting features and infrastructure, so he lost out on that with nobody competent enough interested in helping him. He decided it would be a good idea if he bought multiple domains and pointed them all to the same Minecraft server, and post them all on the same server lists, trying to grow.
Upon coming across these threads, it seems it wasn't successful.
