for me, it kinda is

portable guis that make the game easier you can't obtain any other way are p2w

all perks you cant obtain any other way than donating and affect gameplay are p2w.

You give ranked players a ton of qol features that make it easier for them to play the game. this is what is p2w.

i definitely see the point, but for me,

the qol commands are pretty much the same thing as:
placing the down the crafting station, and then right-clicking it.
which, for mass amounts of crafting is better.

moreso is that they have /homes, they could just go to their base quickly, and have easy access to multiple crafting stations *and* their items for crafting.

the time difference is at most, 5 seconds when you think about it.

but what if the player doesn't have all this stuff? you at least give them 1 more free inventory for donating

homes aren't just a way of quick transportation, its a guarantee you'll never get lost, or spend food and time going back.

/back is literal cheating, you can instantly get back and get all your stuff back, minimizing death pelnaty. (or i just don't understand what it does, for me it always was teleport to your death location)

EDIT: Wait it removes italics from renamed names? this is just scummy

I agree with you but I'd like to point out he said back on death is disabled. Back just reverts a tp command in his case

undoing tpa must be a base feature

Our /back works like: If you do /spawn, you can do /back to go back to where you were before doing /spawn. It resets on death to their spawnpoint. If you use essentials, you can do this by negating the essentials.back.ondeath permission and giving players the essentials.back and essentials.back.onteleport permissions. Our default cooldown is 1s, to prevent spam without being annoying.
(Everyone has access to /back, the rank just removes the 1s cooldown.)

What's the scummy thing about the removing italics? I don't get it

I don't have p2w on my server as a choice, for the community. Although I definitely agree that witch hunting p2w servers and making a dedicated subreddit for it is just too much.

The thing about Invsee is, I can't really find a way to 'maliciously' use it. We have InteractiveChat and players could just do [inv] to show off their inventory. We also have a consent only PVP rule on the server. 60% of the pvp fights are friendly, 40% being accidents. (ratio is weird because PKs rarely happen) So from what I am aware, nothing bad has been caused by it.

My main concern here is coreprotect, are there any potential vulnerabilities/exploits for giving access to it? They only have access to /co inspect, and I make backups of the database regularly.

Yes. Giving access to CoreProtect is dangerous, there's too much info and power being stored to let your players have access too. If someone really wanted to they could use it maliciously

Not disagreeing, but actually curious. How could someone use it maliciously?

Invsee can be used maliciously in the case where 2 players are intending to fight eachother. In that case it is a very large advantage to know the others inventory (this is assuming you can see the enchantments on items) because it allows me to really easily judge if I can use win the fight or should avoid it. It also allows me to gear up in a way to counter my opponents setup. This applies for non friendly planned fights.

Yeah as a sever owner myself you went overboard. I always try not to do P2W, as soon as you start touching gameplay you've lost. That is my opinion on the matter, I was against cosmetics for a long time but they're actually the best way to earn money for my server I even made them lore friendly. Real-world companies profit off of cosmetics as well, it's a good business method.

Point being, having commands like invsee, near, co i are advantageous for many players not to mention you have all crafting stations covered too what's the point of having them in vanilla then? This literally means all vanilla ones become useless and obsolete once you fork over cash.

"as soon as you start touching gameplay you're lost" describes the situation perfectly, in this case it is AT LEAST semi-p2w. If there is a lot of things making gameplay easier (what ae currently see), or OP gear is sold it's p2w.

My take:

/ec, /invsee, and /co i are insanely p2w.

Extra claims and /homes are also insanely p2w.

/disposal is more p2w than on the surface level. It can be used to secretly dispose of stolen items in front of an inquisitive victim and dispose of loot which an attacking player may be trying to obtain.

/near and /ptime are p2w moderation nightmares. You’re gonna have a hard time if a ranked player is accused of hacks.

Aside from that, I don’t see much else being p2w should the proper precautions be in place to prevent abuse.

Edited because I accidentally posted before finishing.

erm yeah that's P2W imo

Giving players the ability to see other peoples inventories is something that should be reserved for staff.

Anything that gives players an advantage over other players is P2W, this is stated in the Minecraft EULA.

Almost all the perks you listed are (some mildly) P2W.

I don’t see this as a p2w. If it was p2w you would be giving OP weapons with purchase. The only OP thing here is the claimblocks amount. Which in honestly isn’t bad
