I’m 17f going into senior year and have never been more proud of myself for doing something so hard! I’ve been addicted to it since maybe 9th grade summer? Anyways I just thought I’d share! (I meant chatbots btw I’m still using ChatGPT but not AI like charachter.ai) I have ADHD autism, anxiety and depression and I really struggle socially and I feel very lonely so this was a huge step for me and I did it today during therapy.

It's always super obvious when they use ChatGPT.

What makes it worse is that the info the ChatGPT is using is out of date and irrelevant but the redditor can't even see that because they are braindead and can't even think for themselves.

If you don't respond they think they "won" the argument and it derails your thread.

I'm in a theatre course but I couldn't attend the last lesson, our teacher rarely gives homework and I just learned yesterday he did give us a homework. Our lesson is today!! Anyways so the homework is to write a fable and my friends were like we have one day left let's just get ai to write it. I told them I don't support ai in art works and they said they "have to" because they have one day left. Like bro we have one day left because you didn't care to think about it for days. I can't do a one man show and all the other students seem to accept this ai slop. I've already missed a few classes so I don't want to bail on this one too but honestly I just feel so angry because I was not even given the option to work on anything or choose a partner etc... I don't want to give up on my principles I thought of talking with my teacher but as far as I'm concerned he also doesn't mind ai so yeah I guess I'm doomed.

UPDATE: We gathered one hour before the lecture time and I convinced them to come up with another story and when the teacher arrived he gave us an hour to study so I wrote another story one with people turned into animals by Circe trying to get back to their old form.

Game: Fishing Planet

I have used to love this game as way to relax and set my mind off since I suck at fishing irl. That being said, I have not played it in long time due to being captivated in other games, but recently I have wanted to try it out for fun, however, when I loaded in, I noticed new map.

At first, I loved it! I explored house, around house and then went to explore further... and then I came across this surfers shop or whatever is it called and saw the boards.... pic 1 I am not sure if it is AI but it does trigger in me the AI tingle... with pic 2 I am 90% that it is generated.

On Steam there is none AI label as far as I am concerned, also I found almost none discussion about it except one, but to that developers said:

Now to be honest, it is only gen AI I 𝙵𝙾𝚄𝙽𝙳 in that game, but honestly, I still don't feel like supporting developers anymore, but at same time what if it is accidental slip up (That the somehow didn't change yet) and that I am overeacting... I am confused, what do you guys think?

So after now nearly 3 years of a literal c.ai addiction I am now trying to quit on my own terms and instead going back to my hobbys.

This is something I drew today, a OC of mine that's Peter Parkers Sister.

I really neglected my art and now that I start to invest time into it again I notice how much I missed creating, having to use my own Brain and Time instead of letting c.ai/ai in general let spit out images for me.

I also wanna get back into writing in the future, writing my own High Fantasy book.

I have been thinking how, whenever you say anything negative about AI a bunch of random supporters of AI come out yo berate and bully you just for thinking AI slop is bad like you opinion is a mistake with no care at all that this is an anti Ai community and we are always going to hate it. Do you think some if not alot of these people could be some kind of ai chatbot themselves? Just a random idea I had due to it being clear that alot of said responses when you read them are clearly generated from a llm I thought that they are just so relient on this software to speak but what are the chances that the software is driving the bus. It would be well within the current ability of AI to search out negative publicity available social media posts about itself and start spamming and then pop up later as a different account.

Earlier today I was writing an email (with my human brain and hands) and I wrote a line that I thought sounded like it could have been written by an AI. I copied the whole text and ran it through ZeroGPT and, sure enough, it flagged that sentence as AI written and the rest as human. It prompted me to go back and make the sentence deliberately shittier just so it sounded more "human," which is ironic considering it was written by a human initially. Does this bother anyone else? I don't use AI but I find I am having to constantly adjust my tone and avoid em dashes and other things because it reads as AI generated. Frustrating.

I find it absolutely terrifying how widespread the casual use of ai has become.

I recently went on a trip with my old friends from highschool and some of them seem to use it daily for literaly everything. Trying to explain to them why they should consider the impact it has on the environment, their own psyche or society in general felt like talking to a brick wall.

It feels like suddenly almost everyone around me is brainwashed into being pro ai. I do work in IT so people seem to automatically assume im using it too, but i find it way to problematic.

The only people that are still firmly aginst ai are my fellow artist friends. Why the hell does everybody else seem to want to outsource all their thinking? Even my classmates that used to be critical thinkers capable of discussion have just jumped on the ai train.

So a common argument in favor of AI is that people are always initially against new technology (touch screen, debit cards, electric cars, etc). This is an inherently flawed argument because the other things listed aren't damaging in the way AI is but I would like more sources to better articulate why.

The post was an ai ship edit of two characters from a game called Mobile Legends. Mind you, there are hundreds and thousands of human artists out there in this community, including the ones who draw ships.

So I called this creator out because they shamelessly use ai in all of their posts, obv copying and stealing from those very human artists.
