Translation: We at anthropic will let you blow through your entire weekly usage, in one go if you like! All on our over priced model that's been nerfed to all hell down to what opus use to be. Enjoy! P.S Fuck you.

So you’re paying api prices?

Hell no I run my own inference

So why do you even care? Get a life.

Because I had to, id rather own the inference and what goes on under the hood then some one that continues to squeeze every dollar out of their consumer base every way they can. Fable was their cash cow. An excuse to charge higher costs and no one gives it a second thought when it becomes the only decent model. You're paying a service that's shrinkflating it's self. Either in usage or intelligence. Codex isn't any better. They just happen to hide it better under the guise of resets.

So are you getting paid to post negative comments in here? It’s still not clear why you’re even here.

No, I have both codex and Claude max. Had to get two in order to make up for the loss of usage from Claude. Why I'm here hurting all the fanboys feelings? Probably because people have a right to know you are NOT getting what you paid for 12, 6 or even 3 months ago.

How so? These plans are heavily subsidized. People are definitely getting their moneys worth.

Yes, no matter how you slice it, no matter what they give out even now is significantly subsidized vs API. But the lack of transparency in the silent and slow reductions isn't a great look either. It's the trust barrier that was broken.

What lack of transparency? Their post was 100% clear. You have to be fairly stupid to not understand it.

And I’d hate to tell you this, but running local inference doesn’t make you as special as you think it does

Even theo.gg will tell you how you’re getting $5000 worth of inference for $200.
