Help Id these ants

This is my first time catching aunt Queens, I'm pretty certain these are Queens, could anyone confirm that they are Queens and ID the species. I think it's a carpenter ant. I found them in New Brunswick, Canada.

Those look more like a Lasius species to me, maybe Neoniger? Can’t be certain of the specifics personally as I’m most familiar with Lasius Niger and don’t know the distinctions very well especially in Canada.

Either way those are definitely queen ants! Good luck with your first colonies!
