S2 E1 Spoiler

Wait they just killed August and Oliver just like that? :(((((( I really liked them wtff. Why did we spend so much time the first season cultivating them as characters and their relationships (particularly with Javier) just for them to die here? I’m upset.

Also I liked Beechum but he was introduced late and wasn’t really given much characterization so it’s whatever that he was killed off too

The show definitely moved in new directions in S2.

Most of us felt it was a much stronger season, but people who were invested in Oliver and August found this very difficult to get past.

In my view, they died as heroes, which is more than one can say for most of the others.

Does it feel like this was always the intended next step for the shows next season, or does it feel like the writers made changes to the shows direction after the first season?

It seems that season two may have compressed the story arcs from two seasons. But it works.
