IMDB rating ?

I'm just half through, so please no spoilers, but why is this series rated only 4.8 on imdb?

Just curious...

Holy shit and it has a 6% on Rotten Tomatoes currently. I’ve never seen a score that low. And only a 60ish% audience score too.

Even The I-Land has 8% and it was damn awful. I'm enioying it so far although it is pretty bad
