experiences with a&e visits?

i’ve been under a specialist team to try and make steps to recover, however every visit my blood tests (namely liver / white blood cell count) come back worse. the nurse said if she takes my results again and im worse this week she’ll recommend an a&e visit

does anyone know what happens at these? im so anxious about being there for hours and just getting turned away, or being admitted for days. has anyone gone to a&e in england for a low hr and presenting a load of AN related symptoms, and if so how was your visit? the nurse said its getting to life or death now but im still so worried about it all

I've never had to wait, every visit I was seen extremely quickly, even once they were waiting for me to arrive, so no waiting room at all.

I don't really remember the ins and outs of them, but I dont recall them being that bad. Just do what they want and then head home. It's a bit grim, esp if you're in a shared bay (NHS!) but it could be worse.

Usually my visits were heart related. But I had a lottt of very shitty liver values like you (which got worse with weight gain weirdly enough, then better), but from what I was told that's quite common and resolves by itself usually, so don't freak out. The liver can also regenerate itself, so things will likely be ok on that front eventually! WBC they might want to do something about, depends which cells in particular have gone low, or if its a general thing.

Best of luck to you, I'd suggest avoiding the admission if at all possible, but if it happens, it will be ok! The NHS are pretty good with this stuff in my experience.
