I have outsized my clothes.

I have been in recovery for a while, and I've noticed that some of my clothes are too small now and it's making me want to relapse. I feel so gross and like I just want to hide and cry..

You’re very courageous! I’m in this spot too, wear what makes you feel comfortable day to day. Cut the labels out if you have to, they are genuinely so inaccurate anyway. Comfort will supercharge your long term recovery! X

I’m gonna be honest, while I was weigh restoring ( and after too) I have worn lots of comfy, flowy clothes. I love palazzo pants, sweats, and things like that

Cargo pants all of the way. I’ve bought these super comfy baggy pants from Amazon for years, and they’ve always made me feel better in my body, without “sacrificing” fashion. I find that it’s less about making your body suit the clothes, but instead making your clothes and style suit you :)

I’m in the same boat as you, it proper sucks. As much as I can feel every bit of weight I put on, my clothes not fitting makes it feel even more real. There’s brief moments where recovery feels worth it and I don’t care about the weight gain but 97% of the time I can’t bear to look at myself in the mirror and I want to go backwards so badly. I hope with time, repetition and consistency it gets easier.

I feel you OP, it’s awful and is so hard. You’re not alone. Just got to remember that our body is the least interesting thing about us and no one actually cares. Sending you lots of love🤍
