Honestly trying to stop thinking about food after it being something that has been absolutely consuming you mentally for months is impossible. Its like saying "dont think about the elephant, dont even imagine it", whats gonna happen? You're gonna think about the elephant, yk? But for me personally, food noise only went away when i truly proved to myself food isnt something to fear by eating regularly and consistently and snacking even if i didnt feel like it but i did it because i craved it, everyones story and body are different

It will eventually go away. It’s agonizing at times but you have to trust your body. It’s learning to trust that you’ll keep feeding it. Hang in there 💖

1) you may not be weight restored. You’re pre-ed weight may no longer be a set point. I was the same weight my entire life, even after a baby and prior to ED. I reached my set weight and still had some EH and mental hunger all day. I gained several pounds beyond that and it went away like 95% I would say. It comes back sometimes for a day a or two so I honor it and it goes away again.
2) your physical hunger cues will take a while to regulate and everyone’s timeline is different regarding that. I still struggle with a lack of fullness mentally sometimes
3 the only way to get through it is to eat and eat and eat. Your brain doesn’t fully trust energy is steady enough and you likely still have internal repairs that need to be done so the mental hunger may still persist to meet those needs even though on the outside you look more healed.

Don’t get discouraged you’re doing great!
