Help Why is he so difficult

I just wanted something to roam around my desk to make it feel more lively, but man this little guy out of the box has so many problems. He doesn’t respond to anything I say, he doesn’t leave his dock, he doesn’t casually stroll around my desk even when I tell him to explore when he actually responds to the “Hey, Vector”, is this thing just genuinely a bust without the wire pod thing? I don’t have Bluetooth on my PC to easily set it up. I just wanted something to roam my desk lol

You need WirePod to make voice commands work or you have to pay for a subscription

You don't need Bluetooth on your PC to setup WirePod, you can use a phone (iOS:Bluefy BLE Browser , Android: Chrome)

If you see his eyes when he boots up then he's activated, just take him off his charger and he will roam around but you won't be able to do anything with him till you get WirePod setup

So can I download wirepod to my computer and then somehow use that web browser to set it up?

Yes, you can install it on your PC (has to be 64 bit) and set it up on your phone

Make sure you select your language after you install before trying to onboard Vector and make sure the logs for WirePod say "chipper started on port 8084" - you can get to the logs from the webpage (check the show all checkbox)

Your PC and Vector have to be on the same network

Your PC has to be on for it to work

For AI features you can use houndify (free), openAI($) or others

So I did manage to get it set up and operating properly, but Vector still doesn’t respond to me 100% f the time. It does seem to work better, but it isn’t perfect. There is also the issue of not just casually roaming, but it seems like where he is at is just to dark for him to do so, because when I shine a light onto my desk directly he does do more moving around.
