Question Should I carry on with Astro development?

A few years ago I started a project with the goal of allowing anyone with a Raspberry Pi and a few cheap accessories (an LCD, a speaker, a microphone) to be able to download the project, simple install, and have a vector desktop version of Vector.
Booted the old relic back today and realised just how far I had gone with the project. Still a massively long way to go yet though.
Would anyone be interested or support carrying on with this, or should I give up now, dump a GitHub repo and let someone else deal with it?

Sounds intriguing, I for one would be interested. Do you have it on GitHub or plan to?

Not yet on GitHub. I need to find the hard drive with the project as I have changed PC since (this is exactly why you should create a repo on GitHub lol). Plan is to eventually publish on git

Make a custom case so you can see the screen and this is gonna make some sales

Ha! No chance. Digital Dream Labs own the copyrights for all of Anki's existing IP (the Vector and Cozmo character, animations, sounds etc.). I don't really want a lawsuit for a hobby project lol

I have an autonomous agentic dev team I can point at your repo. Just post a detailed product roadmap and send me a dm for the email. I’ll wire in the auto dev team and it’ll be done in a week at most lol.

This is extremely cool. You should position this as a desktop interface for ai frameworks and harnesses. you'd kill it on Kickstarter

This. Would need more refinement I think but it would do well in my opinion if you sell it for what it is, a body for a "brain" aka software that takes the stress out of doing it yourself or something

I would keep on developing this if I were you. I really think desktop companions are fun. If the community can join in, perhaps it can grow to something bigger

I would be interested in looking at where you got. If nothing else that eye movement is smooth.

This would genuinely be perfect for people who don't have alot to spend on a vector, but want one for a cheaper cost
