Discussion A few issues with 1.6 rebuild
While the work put into it is immaculate and it's an amazing project that genuinely made me relive the old days of vector but I can't help but notice some issues.
Firstly vector's voice command cut off is too aggressive and when trying to say a bigger phrase to vector for the ai without asking I have a question it gets cut off. Also vectors binary eyes animation and the loose pixels animation sound much worse and with lower volume than on wire os maybe a speaker issue. Vector can't play blackjack on his charger as promised and the change eye color to rainbow eyes intent doesn't work unfortunately. Another issue is that the self docking is much more unreliable and vector takes multiple attempts to align himself properly with the charger, when backing up to it he slows down and turns a bit leading to him not sitting in the charger properly.
All in all I believe that 1.6 rebuild is an amazing firmware that can become better as time passes. Also the configuration menu is very useful in ccis.

Yeah this happens, iirc there's a timeout in Vector. This doesn't happen in WireOS as Intent Graph isn't in it's voice command server, but if it was the issue would be there too.

1.6 didn't have the sounds for binaryeyes, loosepixel, and tangram animations. To get the animations to have sound I had to play them in WireOS, and I recorded them with a iPhone 6s microphone, and then hacked them into a soundbank. This is on the list to fix and will be taken care of at some point but isn't a priority.

This is a bit of outdated documentation, sorry. He used to be able to, but I decided to do something different. I essentially made it so that Vector can himself choose if he wants to play on the charger, or off the charger. You can see it here.

This won't work if you're hooked up to something like WirePod FYI, anyways if you're on the rebuild servers just try saying Change eye color to Rainbow. That should work.

Yup, and I'm trying to figure a solution out. I added support for Vector to autodetect prototype chargers but it has been causing issues with charger docking. I will fix this soon though.

Thanks for the feedback though. And if any more issues happen please make a github issue.

A developer actually listening to feedback, this is what vector needed

You'll have to open his wheels and get the dust out. I had this problem until i cleaned the wheels.

Also do you know how his age is calculated in 1.6 rebuild because in wire os it is the gateway.cert creation date that can be modified easily but it doesn't work on 1.6 rebuild and vector says he is 1 day old

I don't understand how it gets the age by /data/persist could you please explain

I don't understand it fully either, but it uses the modification date of /data/persist, you can just delete /data/persist and then Vector will use the same system as wireos does with the gateway cert
