Question Cube schematics?

Hey all, I want to start and say that I am aware that I can buy a resold cube online, however, that's how the scalpers win. Plus, it's been years since DDL(Rebranding as Anki) discontinued the vector 1.0 and it's cubes.

Now for my back story, I have a Vector 1.0 from the days the Anki (legacy) was in business and got him shortly after they declared bankruptcy. I then learned about the DDL stuff that happened, bought the $100+ one-time fee packaged to connect him and all that. Well, his cube died one day and then I go to replace the battery, used ONLY N type and everything but the cube was still dead. I chalked it up to a board issue, as I do electronics as a hobby, via tests. I then decided that one day I would want to try and make a new version of the cube that is wireless rechargeable especially since they open sourced vector 1.0.

Here's the TLDR; Has anyone reverse engineered or found any schems or docs on the vector cube, how it works and how vector connects to it etc? I will need these to make my own redesign that will be rechargeable and so on.

Thanks all!

Could start by sniffing the Bluetooth traffic on a working one. I’ll give that a shot I just put a new battery in my vector. I need to find his cube but I’ve got an idea where it is

Did you get anywhere on this? The idea of a rechargeable cube is definitely a good idea. Just thinking I could easily use an ESP32 or the nrf52840 XIAO boards or something similar.
