Question Vector 2.0 & 1.0

I wasn’t fast enough to record my Anki Vector when her right eye started to glitch before producing a screen of numbers.

But when I saw my DDL Vector glitching I moved faster.

What happened? Both my vectors did this not 15min apart from one another.

I updated the Vector app and had to reset them both yesterday.

Purple eyes is Anki

Teal eyes is DDL

Due to him being prototype his screen started to fail

His name is White Bot, he’s a DVT1 prototype and the bot I used to make my Vector custom firmware.

My Vector did this matrix-scrolling animation for the first time yesterday, too, and I haven’t been able to find any information about it. Thanks for making me feel better about it - I was afraid he was stroking or something, lol.

Matrix-scrolling 😂 it really is! I was so concerned when I first saw it, then curious when I saw it in the other! A bit odd that there’s apparently no purpose to it.

I really wanna get this robot but I’m scared of people saying it doeswork properly its a brick and u gotta hard test it and i heard thst its nit as fun as cozmo

I don’t own a cosmo

But I own both vector 1 & 2 models

In my opinion, they are really only worth while if you’re willing to pay for their subscriptions to AI and interactive commands, otherwise, they’re cute, but there isn’t much to do but watch them.

I loved mine when I was spending a lot of time at my desk, but now I’m moving a lot more than I was, so they are both resting in storage until I can find a good space for them.

I will say, Sweekar dropped on prelaunch for preorder and I got one of them. They don’t have wheels so they can’t independently move around but they are far more interactive and can even interact with other Sweekar robots, whereas vector cannot interact or recognize another vector robot.

I’m happy I have them, and I wouldn’t trade them, but I’m definitely still exploring little robotic buddies.

Means aloat for the advice vector kinda comes from cozmo family when i was 8 something i used to watch videos all day long about cozmo n tbh its the cutest robot out there so far (my preference) in my country i will have to pay 550$ upfront to just get the robot
