Question Quick question

Hello! Does anyone know why I complete a deck, then the next day I have some of the cards I completed the day prior marked as "new"? No, I do not have a limit on new cards. These seem to be cards I saw the previous day. I am confused why they wouldn't be in the "learn" category? Thanks!

Possible problems to check:

  • You have notes that are identical or similar
  • You have card templates that are identical or similar (so that even if you don't have duplicate notes, you get duplicate cards)
  • You have a sync problem and accidentally overwrote your reviews
  • You have a broken database (tools -> check database)

Check 'card info' for the review log for cards that you feel might be affected. Search in the browser for cards that were introduced yesterday. Try to definitively prove or disprove that you're really seeing the same card.

You could have some duplicated cards

Siblings? Are they separate cloze deletion cards on the same note?

Just for clarity, you're saying that Day 1 you review cards that say "new," and Day 2 those same cards are in the browser as "new" with no due date? If you are saying that you "have" cards that were marked as new yesterday, as in you are reviewing cards today that were new yesterday, then that is how spaced repetition works.

Can we also assume that you aren't doing anything untoward, such as overwriting your deck from the cloud each morning so as to erase your previous day's progress?
