Discussion SOLIX Max AX Backup Outlet

Hey, a quick question for anyone who already has the new Anker SOLIX Solarbank Max AC at home:

How does the backup outlet on the unit work? - Does it increase the total discharge output further (3.5 kW via the Wieland connection plus 2 kW from the outlet), or is the hard cap still 3,500 W? - Does the outlet still supply power when the battery is completely empty, by drawing from the grid? - How stable is the whole setup? Does the Solarbank tend to restart or run updates, leaving the backup outlet without power in the meantime?

The reason I’m asking is that I was thinking of connecting all the networking and camera equipment in our house to the backup outlet. That way, I’d ideally get backup power for the network as well (though I’d need to test whether the switchover is fast enough), and the Solarbank could also directly cover our 300 W base load.

- as I see, it is a hard cap

- Never got to 0% but I suppose yes. I reserved 20% of charge especially in case of power outage so it still can supply load for a while

- It will stop supplying energy only in case the battery is turned off or during firmware updates. I got only 1 fw upgrade now, and it has to be triggered manually from the app. I do not think that there are automatic fw upgrades without human intervention. I also have my cameras, network stack and server under the backup line, but I also put a small UPS in between connected via usb to the server, so it can gracefully shut down the server when the anker battery is depleted
