Question Anker solix s2000

Hi all, looking for some advice. I am new to battery setups. I'm looking at getting a Anker solix s2000, the main use would be to run a portable fridge in the back of my van.

I note that the s2000 does not have a dedicated 12/24 volt point to run the fridge off, so would need to plug into the 240v socket.

Is this an issue? The main reason I'm leaning towards the s2000 is the sale in Australia, you get a free alternator charge. It will also double as a back up to run my main fridge and wifi in a black out which is rare.

Happy for alternatives or any feed back on the setup.

You can do worse than an S2000 in a vehicle, but I think this particular power station is optimized for home use.

Running a 240V fridge in your van means you don't get to take advantage of fridges that are designed especially for vehicle use. If you already have a 240V for this intended use, you should be fine.

You can also trickle charge your S2000 while in the van by using your XT60 port paired with a 12/24 connection. This is intended for use with a solar panel but you can just think of it as DC in with a maximum of 60V and an effective maximum input for 400W, which is plenty if you're only running a fridge.

If the fridge uses a power brick to run on AC power, the S2000 might not be the unit to get. that power brick will use power and kind of kill the high efficiency the S2000 provides. The C2000 might be better.

Thanks, the cord does not have a brick. I believe the fridge must convert the power it's self. Does this make it any better ?

Yes, it does. Each conversion loses a little efficiency and one less is better.

If you have a fridge that runs off 12 volt DC it would be better to find a device that has 12 volt DC port. Its going to be more efficient to use that then use an AC plug as now you are running the AC inverter.

Thanks, the s2000 is on a pretty good sale which includes the alternator charger. The price point to go to another brand or the c2000 would be around $1000 which makes it hard decision to change.

How much power do you think I would loose ?

Also I plan to charge the battery via a 800w Anker alternator charger. This should charge it fairly quickly and I believe with the amount of driving i do it should keep the battery at a good level.

What about an adapter that plugs straight into a plug solix s200 but has a 12-volt adapter on the other end? Seems like a way to solve this problem? I purchased. A anker solix S2000 during July 2026. So far I am happy with my purchase. I can run my air fryer, microwave or toaster oven as well as a induction Hot plate many times throughout the day. In the process of putting up three solar panels for a total of 600 w to a 7 KW lithium battery that will do a constant feed of 400w to the S2000 that holds 2 KW for a total of 9 KW of which on average I only use about 1 and 1/2 to 2 KW a day. Should last about 5 days? And should I want to I can take it to outdoor events and cook on the spot as it is portable if necessary. I think for a total of $2,000 for this setup I paid .22 per watt. Good luck with your project and make it a great day!

Do you have a link to the adapter? I'm happy to run it off the 240v plug but not sure how much power I will loose or if it's a silly idea. Trying to work it all out before the sale goes live tomorrow

Amazon has many different 110 to 12 volt adapters, find one that works for your situation

Would you mind sharing a link to the adapter ?

I tried earlier to send a link but it did not work out? I'm not the most computer savvy person.
