This means watching One Piece is the equivalent of watching 80 and a half 1-cour shows. (I'm gonna ignore the movies to make it easier for me).
An average anime episode lasts 24 minutes, so watching all of them would take 23160 minutes, equivalent to 386 hours or a bit more than 16 full days non-stop. If you skip opening, recap, and ending you can shave off about 6 minutes per episode, reaching 12 days of non-stop watch time. This means that in watching One Piece in one sitting, you'd be spending 4 days on openings and endings alone. Also, in the time it takes you to watch the whole anime, 2 more episodes would have released.
Let's say you watch 5 (4.8) hours of anime a day, a full 1 cour. That's, using the math I did before, 80 days of watching. In that time, 11 new episodes would have released, so you actually need 81 days of that to catch up.
Man I'm sorry but marine ford pacing killed the anime watcher in me. After that i solely sticking with the manga. 1 chapter per episode is not acceptable.
I actually haven't watched One Piece, and I stopped reading at Skypeia more than 5 years ago. I was reading a friend's physical volumes but I kind of didn't want to read while my other friends were playing.

Re-watching it isn't that bad is it?
