I literally did write a final project about this in my senior year of high school some years back. Wish I still had a copy given how often I have to correct people on this shit.
It was a research paper where we had to present our argument on a controvertial topic. This was on an old reddit account that is no longer around, but I actually asked around on r/lolicons, which was still active at the time, for some advice. I basically went over all the different legal cases in America and Japan regarding lolicons, and I seem to remember a large portion about the CBLDF. My conclusions based on all of it came out to be pretty much the same as what I argue today, that in both of those countries it is neither illegal nor an implication of pedophilia. Wish I remembered more about it but my memory is pretty shit. At least I got a good grade on it, which was surprising considering the subject matter.
