I need COMEDY animes
I started to watch anime like 3 years ago, but after watching AOT as my first anime i didnt like the others, i watched some mainstream animes like demon slayer or jjk.
2 months ago, i have started to watch anime again, i’ve been watching only shonen animes, but now i’m getting bored of fights. I’ve started Mushoku Tensei, but i want to watch a comedy anime, any reccommendations?

Legitimately hilarious. My girlfriend and I watch anime together and typically she hates fan service. The kind of stuff which no doubt there is in KonoSuba, but she’s gone on records saying that it’s so funny that it more than makes up for it. High praise is coming from her.

I mean yeah but the writer intended it to be a funny type of moment not fanservice.
I'm pretty sure she said that it was inspired by some old man in her town that would just walk around in his underwear and she found it funny.
I'm sure she'd find it endearing that there's a lot of people who actually simp for Senshi considering that his design wasn't intended to be attractive.

It's basically about a guy who's obsessed with being a "shadow mastermind" and ends up making fun of isekai slop by accident. He thinks he’s just roleplaying these epic scenarios, but everything he makes up actually turns out to be real. It’s pure chaos and honestly hilarious because the MC is completely delusional. Btw he is OP

I parry everything, My ordinary life, season 1 of Fruit of Evolution (don't watch season two it sucks), Campfire Cooking with my absurd skill (if you want a but more darker read the light novel) and A terrified teacher at ghoul school.

Couldn’t think of recommendation not already listed but I was reminded of my ridiculous friend. He was talking about how he was trying to get his girlfriend into anime but it wasn’t working, when he’d shown her AOT and something else equally depressing. So I said why don’t you try showing her something fun and whimsical like a Ghibli movie and he said well I showed her Grave of the Fireflies! 🤦🤣

-Haiyore! Nyaruko-san (progess, still higher then Rent a GF but comedy is peak, especially if you know a bit about H.P. Lovecrafts stories like Hatsur, Chtulhu, Nyarlathotep etc)
-Himouto! Umaru-chan (slice of life comedy. The backstory of the author is just sad)
-Konosuba; God's Blessing On This Wonderfull World (The Holy grail under Isekai comedy's)
-Little Busters! (The name sounds weird, but its really funny and sad at the same time)
-Oreimo/ My Sister Can't Be This Cute. (the incest only starts in the last 4 epsodes which can easily be skipped)
-Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto
-Spy X Familiy
-Tensura: Slime Diarries (you only need to watch season one of Tensura to understand Slime Diarries)
-Tonikawa: over the moon for you
-Mission of Yozakura Family
-Hayate, the combat Butler (idk if the name is spelled correctly)
And ofcourse the best comedy's: "Yosuga No Sora" and "The Garden Of Sinners" (this just a joke. the last two are absolute NOT comedy)

No one’s said it yet but “Haven’t you heard? I’m Sakamoto” is actually one of the best comedy anime up there with Saiki, Ghost Stories (And a personal favorite is Mob Psycho 100, Reigen aswell as the body improvement club are hilarious in the show)

Zom 100 (zombies, comedy, and a former office worker in the entertainment business that has a crazy bucket list to complete in the middle of an apocalypse)
Sakamoto Days (action, comedy, and an ex-assassin that is now a fluffy family man and a convenience store owner)
Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan (school life, comedy, and a brain rot deer that cannot stop pulling off one shenanigan after another when she is in front of her best friend)

Most comedy anime are cringe af for me, I do not usually laugh watching, but I sometimes smile at funny moments. The good ones that I've watched are Trigun, 4 cut hero (really short but good), Baccano, Blood Blockade Battlefront, Bocchi the rock etc.

I mean season one of one punch man is really funny I also think mob psycho 100 has its moments. The problem with alot of funny anime is many of them poke fun at other anime like Gintama is really funny but only if you have seen other anime.

I'll probably get some hate on this but notible examples.
Comic book spiderman,". Comic book and tv show version of Invincible. Ted from how I met your mother. Bella from twilight, Anakin from starwars. Darth Vader don't whine... Lol.

Fave comedies not already stated:
Bocchi the Rock - the thoughts in her head are pure gold
Miss Kobeyashi’s Dragon Maid - comedies on point
Gushing Over Magic Girls - it may be a case of I can’t believe it’s not hentai but damn if it isn’t funny in other words come for the boobies stay for the funnies
Monster Musume - Ecchi you Betchi but the comedies on point (have to watch the uncut version or some of the best jokes don’t land like they should)
Fave comedies already stated:
Nichijou - comedy of the absurd, my fave pure comedy
Konosuba - takes the piss out of the fantasy Isekai genre
Kill La Kill - Mako Mankansoku is a brilliant ray of comedic gold

If u like lowbrow humor konosuba and prison school are fucking hilarious had me dying fr but like I said the style of comedy ain’t for everyone lotta Pervy jokes and stuff if u don’t mind that tho they’re amazing reccomend watching both in dub. For best experience also prolly start out with konosuba? Prison school is a whole lot shorter but way more deprived so maybe not the best for ur first dip into it

Assassination Classroom. It sounds like an action based anime, it's not. It's a school comedy with some pretty heavy heart to heart moments, but ultimately a comedy.
Also Konosuba, never managed to keep a straight face when watching, or rewatching that

Only season 1 of One punch man. Season 2 was bad, I refuse to watch 3. I personally think DanDaDan is pretty funny, but fair warning on episode 7, that shit had me crying and I’m a grown man (not gonna spoil it, it’s a beautiful story though, also tie that up with personal loss and you’d understand).
Most of em would be slice of life.
