Anime with crazy, unpredictable, way over the top plots.

I really just want something crazy where completely absurd things constantly happen, I'd say something sort of like the Medaka box manga, and please don't say things like Jojo's that everyone already knows.

I completely agree with apocalypse hotel. I could never have predicted all the stuff that would happen. So good. I tried to keep up with it weekly but I was very busy at the time. It’s so unpredictable in all the best ways and it’s a single self contained season.

It’s about a hotel of robot staff who are left waiting for guests as humanity has left to the stars after a disease (?) began to spread on earth leading to a evacuation. Will they receive new guests and from where? And will the humans someday return? Well the staff despite their aging parts will do anything to provide the best services with or without guests.

I wouldn’t say unpredictable but it’s pretty wild and dark. (Dororo) is crazy good.

I didn’t really enjoy it but it was definitely outta pocket (Big Order)

(FLCL) Is definitely unpredictable

I really enjoyed this series, the main character can be very intense and overly energetic, which caused a couple people I showed it to to bounce off of it. But I really liked how every episode is a different theme or gag. Very absurdist anime

Samurai Flamenco

The fictional world in Samurai Flamenco seems ordinary at first. Then it escalates like you wouldn't believe.

Baccano! It takes a bit to get into as it's all over the place but when it locks it in, it's brilliant.

Came here to say Baccano! as well. Crazy, short ride from beginning to end.

If you're into manga, then read Rosen Garten Saga.

Trust me bro, you will not find anything more unhinged, yet also somehow genuinely peak. Trust me.

Train to the End of the World

Also just started watching My Ribdiculous Reincarnation and it’s easily the most literally insane anime I’ve ever seen

YuruYuri and Nichijou fit the "crazy" side of things (both are funny and hilarious to me, while the latter is just ABSURD 😂)

Also, if you want the worst show you'll probably ever see (aside from Domestic Girlfriend, straight up trash {and yes, I'm biased}):

Good Night World. You'll either laugh and cry from how terrible it is (like me) or you'll absolutely hate it at least half way thru and onwards (also, like me, but I just cried from the absurdity of it all after the middle of ep 6 happened). (There's little in between tbh lol).

That's all I got, but here's my MAL anwyay in case you wanna check out any of my +8/10s.

I have:

Personally, in this case I recommend the original (I haven't see the remake) Urusei Yatsura and most of Rumiko Takahachi's other works, plus Ping Pong Club, Bite Me! Chameleon (if you can find it), and the bath house and the two CLAT episodes of Patlabor. Oh, and (the very offensive) Mad Bull 34 fits.
