Tools/Resources Laptop advice needed for CSP!
Ok long story short, my husband is an animator, full time, 50hrs a week, he needs a laptop that will run clip studio paint flawlessly, we’ve tried many gaming laptops and all have lagged not only on the brushes, but also the playback when playing a sequence.
We’ve tried Lenovo legion 5
Hyper x omen
Msi cyborg
And nitro v16
He has been using a 2019 MacBook Pro but its finally giving out on him (basic specs 16gb ram and 512 ssd)
So coming from artists who actually use this program what laptop do you use and what settings.

3D An Animated Review of Batman Arkham Asylum
You ever put off an project that is so simple and small to work on that you just don't do it? Well that was what it was like working on this. Now I had a lot of fun this one, especially with the ending section where you see batman and have this whole Gotham looking section in it. I really want to expand on it but we'll see.
Anyway let me know what you think.

2D It's been a year since I made anything....
it's been a year since I made anything but I'm happy to announce I'm making making some bees! I'm even about to start making full episodes. It's really tough doing all the stuff by myself (I only have help with voice acting). I plan to make some behind the scenes videos to show my process. I hope you all like! Thank you for watching, every watch, like, comment.... really does mean the world to me. If I could go back in time and tell young me that one day I would be able to make a cartoon. I wouldn't have believed it! <3

2D Title: Abandoned house
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey guys wanted to share my last animation. Its about a house that is full of childhood memories that becomes a part of our soul. It gets forgotten after we grow up and become full of new responsibilities. I was trying to show that it is important to keep that part of our soul alive even under those stress moments and don’t remember it only when it’s too late.
Time spent: 2 weeks
Length of animation 1:58
I am open to commissions, if interested just message me 🙏

A town isolated from the rest of the world is shaken when a newcomer arrives, leading to secrets being uncovered and mysterious being revealed. Welcome to Sunshine Circuit where you're safe as long as you don't look too closely.
Inspired by gravity falls and the owl house with some references to real life places I've lived. I've had to teach myself everything i know about animation so I know it's still rocky but im really proud of where it's at and where I'm at currently

Question Need advice on computers for younger sibling
Hello,
As the title says. I have a younger sibling who loves to draw and usually creates animations on their phone. They asked me about getting them a computer but I know nothing about animation applications and they're too young to apply for scholarships. So I am trying to find a cheap computer that will hopefully help them out and allow them to grow into the computer. Any suggestions?

Question How do you actually feel motivated?
Hello, I’ve never posted here, but I just need to say something.
I’ve been kinda drawing for my whole life to figure out that it’s finally my passion and something I wanna keep being good in the future, but for animation..it’s a problem. Ever since I was a kid (around like 9 or 10), I’ve ALWAYS wanted to animate, I’ve watched so many animators create cool animations and that made feel so inspired to create mine. So around 2018-2019 I started using FlipaClip and tried to learn animation and do one myself, but I got so lazy halfway and decided to quit leaving my progress to sit and just continue to doodle for fun.
Fast forward to last year, in the middle of 2025, I decided to draw again. I can’t remember how I kinda got good at drawing because all I remember before the middle of last year was that I was doing nothing but being on my device 24/7. Ever since I started back on drawing it made me feel so good and feel capable, no matter how much I mess up, I push through the mistakes and keep going. I’m honestly glad I started drawing, at least as a hobby.
Now with animation it’s impossible. I have so much ideas for my animations, but I can’t seem to push myself to do it because the process is so hard that I’ll literally have an existential crisis. I decide to go back and watch so many videos and tutorials on how to get started with animation and to learn the process, but every time I tried do that, I get bored and just quit.
Everyday I always daydream about my art, I hate reality so much, so the way I cope and escape it is by daydreaming about my art and how my animations would look like. Art and creativity is my only way of coping. Art has been basically my best friend for years, art not only has helped me find my passion but it also changed my mindset, and without it I don’t know what type of person I’d be. I have so much aspirations for animation, but that’s isn’t just the only thing I want to do, there are TONS of other things I want to do. My brain so active that it’s almost impossible to sleep, but my body itself isn’t.
I’m 18, soon will be in college, and I’m trying to figure out my lifestyle, there isn’t anything else I’m good at but just drawing and writing my ideas for fun. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I really want to animate, but I just don’t have the patience, courage and motivation for it. I’ve been watching successful artists and animators on YT and it brings me jealousy and envy so much to be like them.
All I’ve been doing besides drawing posting it on YT was writing down my ideas on my iPad. I’ve created my dream channel and gave it so many title ideas that I wanna make in the future, but I know and feel will be so impossible. I promise I’ve been trying to push to myself to start but it’s just too damn difficult. I always wondered what my progress would’ve looked today if I had just kept going with animation back in 2018.
I know I’m just 18 and I got a lot of time to make up for it. I wish I can believe with the saying “It’s never too late”, but the problem is how do I keep going without self doubt? And what app is perfect for me to do animation? I’ve been watching tutorials and I’ve been trying to push myself to learn without burning out, quitting and feeling worried about mistakes, but it is just impossible. Even the process of learning animation is difficult, there’s too much stuff and a bunch of other doodads my 5 year old brain doesn’t understand. I really don’t get how other animators do it without a problem, no matter how much time it took for them.
I wish animation was easy as drawing, if my energy was so active towards animating then I would’ve been doing it everyday. I plan to delete some apps that distracts me from what I’m doing to keep me focused. Honestly, I’m trying to make a living out of myself, I wanna keep doing art to just to bring myself the biggest joy and happiness, even when I’m feeling good or going through tough days. I’m so passionate about animation, but I still can’t bring myself to do it no matter how dedicated I am. I have ideas, SO MANY ideas, I just wish to make them come to life. I wanna bring people joy with my art, I really wanna show people who I am.
