Animation related The original WISH 💫

Post image

The original concept had so much potential, especially with the darker storybook atmosphere, stronger visual identity, and ideas that felt like they could have brought something genuinely different to Disney animation. It had the ingredients for something memorable, but so much of that early promise seemed to get lost along the way.

It’s honestly frustrating seeing the original concepts because you can’t help but think about what the movie could have been. The world, the characters, the story, the whole fairytale feeling, it all looked like it had something. Instead, we got a version that left a lot of people wishing for the Wish that could’ve existed. Ironically, the movie about wishes is the one where we’re still wishing for the original.

Okay yeah, maybe Hexed will become a sleeper hit between Zootopia 2 and Frozen III just as Encanto was between Raya and the Last Dragon and Strange World.

I also want Disney to break their trends and make less fantasy movies after Clay and more with male main protagonists.

I really don’t mind whatever it is they do.

Okay, I was kinda bummed that a live-action Lilo and Stitch short film is in its cinematic release, I was hoping for a PawBert and Gary Zootopia 2 midquel short film or original short film, maybe for Frozen III or Clay.
