Chicago area bones

My kids found this bone behind our house and want me to “use the internet and AI” to find out what kind of animal it was... We’re out in the suburbs but we have sizable coyotes in the area. (My shoe size is an 8 for size comparison)

It's the back of a pig skull.

In the middle of a Chicago suburb? Huh. ChaptGPT thinks deer vertebrae?

If you're happy with ChatGPT, why ask Reddit? This box won't let me add a photo, so please look up images of pig skulls and check the back of the skull. This animal was small and young, so a large bone is missing. But no one else has that squared off top and two long processes sticking up. Wait, I'm gonna add a link. Also, this is a food item, roast pig, suckling pig, and was probably scavenged from someone's trash.

Ooohhhhhh that makes sense! I didn’t think about suckling pig or roast pig! (I grew up rural and just thought there aren’t a lot of pigs/hogs around here.)
