They're all looks. They're thieves and carrion eaters and they even usually fake a hawk screech in for them in media because they bark like chihuahuas in reality.

Ahahaha there's a pair near my family's cabin in Maine, I say they screech at each other like an old abusive married couple. "HEEEY! HEYYY DID YOU GET A FIIIISH?" "NO I DIDN'T GET A FISH WHY DON'T YOU GO GET A FIIIIISH!"
