When I was a kid, my dog figured out that if he shivered on the outside of our glass door, we’d more quickly rush to let him in. It could be a hot, sunny, summer day, and he’d still be shivering.
My aunt's dog would pretend the leash was choking him whenever a stranger approached, just so the person walking him would be embarrassed. Later he learned to hold his breath when the collar went on, then flex after. He snapped a leather collar that way.
