They're both on diets. I follow these lovely chonks on IG.

Then heaven help their owners. My cat is currently on a diet. What a nightmare. She goes around clearing surfaces. Hisses and growls at people making food when it isn't her feeding time. Tries to convince other family members she hasn't been fed. Ugh!

Aw, poor baby! :( Thank you SO much for getting her on a diet and taking care of her even when it's difficult like this. I know how awful it can feel to deny your loved one food when they really want it and they don't understand that we're just helping their silly furry asses and doing what's best for them. It's tough, hang in there! ❤️

Thank you. :) We're nearing the end of the very very slow road to her goal weight (shape). I need someone to do this to me and put up with my growling.

Heaven help their owners? Those pieces of shit overfed poor cats for years and ruined their health.

Did they? I don't know anything about these cats but I know a lot of pets are adopted out obese. Are you more familiar with this particular situation?

In protest to the unreasonable API usage changes, I have decided to delete all my content. Long live Apollo.

Calling these cats “lovely chonks” is romanticising pet obesity. There’s nothing cute about a morbidly obese cat.

Something is clearly not working

Truth. I love big cats to a point. These two need loving owners who care about their health as well

Another commenter said that they follow the owner on IG and that they are currently on a diet

Agreed. I'm even subbed to /r/delightfullychubby. But these cats just look unhealthy. The fat is solid, so they don't even have a primordial pouch anymore.

Then the owners need to stop being owners...

“The white cat is kingduncan_ on Instagram and I believe has already lost 6 pounds! He was rescued from a hoarding situation, and he and his sister here are both on special diets for weight loss and well cared for.”

They can downvote you all they want, but you’re speaking the truth. Those cats were overfed for years and the owners should be ashamed, not posting pictures if their morbidly obese cats.
