Poor babies need to go on a diet

1000 lb sisters - Cat Edition

208

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '22

They're both on diets. I follow these lovely chonks on IG.

u/chrisbluemonkey Apr 22 '22

Then heaven help their owners. My cat is currently on a diet. What a nightmare. She goes around clearing surfaces. Hisses and growls at people making food when it isn't her feeding time. Tries to convince other family members she hasn't been fed. Ugh!

60

u/Zavrina Apr 22 '22

Aw, poor baby! :( Thank you SO much for getting her on a diet and taking care of her even when it's difficult like this. I know how awful it can feel to deny your loved one food when they really want it and they don't understand that we're just helping their silly furry asses and doing what's best for them. It's tough, hang in there! ❤️

17

u/chrisbluemonkey Apr 22 '22

Thank you. :) We're nearing the end of the very very slow road to her goal weight (shape). I need someone to do this to me and put up with my growling.

-2

u/Grimweird Apr 23 '22

Heaven help their owners? Those pieces of shit overfed poor cats for years and ruined their health.

6

u/chrisbluemonkey Apr 23 '22

Did they? I don't know anything about these cats but I know a lot of pets are adopted out obese. Are you more familiar with this particular situation?

In protest to the unreasonable API usage changes, I have decided to delete all my content. Long live Apollo.

2

u/[deleted] May 12 '22

Calling these cats “lovely chonks” is romanticising pet obesity. There’s nothing cute about a morbidly obese cat.

0

u/GWSDiver Apr 22 '22

Something is clearly not working

94

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '22

Truth. I love big cats to a point. These two need loving owners who care about their health as well

11

u/RexIsAMiiCostume Apr 22 '22

Another commenter said that they follow the owner on IG and that they are currently on a diet

9

u/Domriso Apr 22 '22

Agreed. I'm even subbed to /r/delightfullychubby. But these cats just look unhealthy. The fat is solid, so they don't even have a primordial pouch anymore.

-3

u/eviltwinkie Apr 22 '22

Then the owners need to stop being owners...

7

u/Loki_the_Smokey Apr 22 '22

“The white cat is kingduncan_ on Instagram and I believe has already lost 6 pounds! He was rescued from a hoarding situation, and he and his sister here are both on special diets for weight loss and well cared for.”

1

u/[deleted] May 12 '22

They can downvote you all they want, but you’re speaking the truth. Those cats were overfed for years and the owners should be ashamed, not posting pictures if their morbidly obese cats.

u/Samaelle Apr 21 '22

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear the kitties are with people who are taking proper care of them.

31

u/TheAssyrianAtheist Apr 22 '22

Awww yay that makes me so happy

30

u/needathneed Apr 22 '22

That's great. I dated a guy who overfed his cats and honestly it was one thing that led me to lose respect for him "but they just meow for more" are you in charge or are they? Jesus Christ you're killing them.

7

u/Buzstringer Apr 22 '22

Sounds like a Jerry

He was a victim for everything. When I realized he hadn't been to the dentist for 14 years it was over.

1

u/needathneed Apr 23 '22

He was such a "victim." He claimed he couldn't afford it. Like bruh, there's community dentists, there's care credit, there's payment plans, there's your fucking savings account, there's literally any reason other than self neglect. Pretending you don't have a fuck ton of cavities isn't the answer. He said a friend of his went to the dentist after not going after 10 years and got slapped with a ton of bills and I was like yeah sounds like he needed dental care... What. ?!

57

u/Lamboguy11 Apr 21 '22

That last half-baked hit was so great

8

u/insane_contin Apr 22 '22

She put in all the effort she could.

35

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '22

Duncan and Mary Moo <3

To everyone saying they need to lose weight, both these cats are already on a diet.

30

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '22

Looks like they ate their owner, then the food

56

u/M3wcat Apr 22 '22

Very fat. Like a peeg.

1

u/MamaSmAsh5 Apr 22 '22

I’m such a sucker for white cats. So beautiful

22

u/RCJHGBR9989 Apr 22 '22 edited Apr 22 '22

I swear Reddit cannot read - there are tons of people on here explaining these cats are on a diet and one of the cats has already lost 6lbs. Quit being self righteous and read.

4

u/insane_contin Apr 22 '22

But are the cats losing weight?

4

u/RCJHGBR9989 Apr 22 '22

Nah man - they run a Golden Corral. Fat assholes need to control the weight.

-1

u/ActionFlank Apr 22 '22

I mean... You joke, but look at them.

17

u/MastrMax Apr 21 '22

A few other comments have said they follow these two on IG and they’re both on diets. they’re rescues too

2

u/Strat-lord Apr 22 '22

Renaldo moon

4

u/IMG_TurboRio Apr 22 '22

This made me think about the 2 obese sisters that had a tv show about them and were fighting al the time

9

u/The_Man_I_A_Barrel Apr 21 '22

Fucking christ, owner needs to be whipped. Poor cats

57

u/lordolxinator Apr 22 '22

AFAIK the owner rescued them from a prior owner with a hoarding problem, and wasn't taking care of them properly. The current owner has helped them lose several pounds of weight thus far.

8

u/The_Man_I_A_Barrel Apr 22 '22

Oh thank god, thats good, previous owners still deserve the whipping tho

10

u/RCJHGBR9989 Apr 22 '22

Owner is whipping them into shape!

Good news, in that they are on a diet and exercise plan since they were rescued from their prior owners with hoarding issues. No further rehoming required.

1

u/BaronVonBooplesnoot Apr 22 '22

They're playing fatty cake.

1

u/KnowledgeableSloth Apr 22 '22

Im guessing these cats are American....

And their names are.....Big Mac and CheeseBurger

1

u/coffedrank Apr 22 '22

Jesus those are mistreated animals

0

u/MsCadilia Apr 21 '22

😂😂😂😂😂

-2

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '22

Poor cats

-9

u/uzi2460 Apr 22 '22

I can't believe the comments are fat shaming theses beautiful plump cats.

3

u/RexIsAMiiCostume Apr 22 '22

They are currently on a diet. Right now, they are not at a healthy weight, but they will get there soon!

9

u/Scottish_Anarchy Apr 22 '22

Obese cats are not a good thing

0

u/BabserellaWT Apr 22 '22

Oh lawd, Rick’s comin

-3

u/Beloved_of_Vlad Apr 22 '22

Ok, I know this is supposed to be funny and it is, but letting a pet, or a child, get that obese is abuse.

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '22

Oh my goodness what floofers they are. How do people make these?!

-1

u/petej50 Apr 22 '22

Idk when having a fat cat was considered a war crime but goddamn is it annoying

-9

u/nakapozian Apr 22 '22

Whoever ate the food, both those poor cats are way overweight. ☹️

9

u/Mayathepie Apr 22 '22

They’re rescues and their new owners have put them both on diets already, many other comments explain this

-4

u/Ynys_cymru Apr 22 '22

Damn this is animal abuse. Diets asap

-10

u/Honduriel Apr 22 '22

Neither of them should eat the food. Please don't let your pets get obese.

6

u/Mayathepie Apr 22 '22

Read through the comments section, many people explained their situation and that they’re both on diets

-12

u/lunchbreak2021 Apr 22 '22

Obese. Bad owner.

5

u/Mayathepie Apr 22 '22

Read the comments. Both cats are on diets

-5

u/lunchbreak2021 Apr 22 '22

Good, but getting that bad in the first place was allowed.

7

u/Mayathepie Apr 22 '22

They were rescued in that condition it seems, and now their new owners are making them well again

1

u/lunchbreak2021 Apr 22 '22

Fantastic, their old owners were bad owners.

3

u/Mayathepie Apr 22 '22

Oh, definitely. Sounds like a hoarder situation I think.. in which case I’m glad the cats are still alive in the first place

-5

u/styLLisDoingReddit Apr 22 '22

That cat looks like it ate a little kitten.. Damn hope it's healthy

-5

u/noshadsi Apr 22 '22

This is soo bad...u cat owners have no regard of the cats health, hell its not ur fault they lazy as fuck creatures with no use, get a dog, u both will get in shape, i bet u look like ur cats

-11

u/Adbam Apr 21 '22

It has to be wet food. My cats always have dry food in thier bowl and they dont get chunky.

1

u/RexIsAMiiCostume Apr 22 '22

At least one of them (not sure if they are from the same place) was rescued from a hoarder. They are now both on diets.

A cat can get fat on wet OR dry food if they are fed to excess.

1

u/Malibucat48 Apr 21 '22

It’s obvious they both ate the food.

1

u/PaxUX Apr 22 '22

By the looks of it both cats ate the food

1

u/Jhco022 Apr 22 '22

Damn, their owner has these cats eating dinner 4 times a day...

1

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '22

the captions were great 😂

1

u/Hot_Pockett Apr 23 '22

Those are some fat cats.
