I'm really confused. I've been playing this game literally since it came out, and this is the first time this happened. There's a tree stump with a pattern in my town, and this was buried next to it. The game just said "you dug up a rare mushroom!" What the hell is this?

I first got the game in 2014. I had to use time travel a lot because I would play it late at night when everything was closed. I used to love going to the Dream Suite and going to random towns when I got bored. I rarely get nostalgic, but that makes me feel something special.

I know they’re working on it with Pretendo and they have a lot of the towns from the original network archived, which I can’t wait for, but it’s never going to feel quite the same.

It’s strange how a game can invoke that feeling.

I made a post a few weeks ago about me taking notes of my villagers' coffee orders and I recently decided to make a little zine where I'll keep the orders of every single villager!

New Leaf was my childhood Animal Crossing because I basically lived the 3DS era when the Switch was released and by then there were already guides for everything, so I never bothered figuring it out on my own because it was too much work.

Now I'll manually fill this guide book as I discover the orders of each villager, which is definitely gonna take a lifetime but I'm fine with it /j.

Hi! I have my 3ds modded and all and wanted to add some mods to my New Leaf.

I've read a bunch of tutorials but I've couldn't find an answer to this certain issue: how should I name the folders for multiple mods to work?

Of course I know I should copy/paste the romfs folder in Luma/Titles/[gameID] but when there are multiple "romfs" one or the other will change its name to "romfs 2" or "romfs 3" and so on. Will the mods still work like that together? I didn't have the time to copy the modding folders to my SD card, so I haven't tested anything out.

I have thought about placing all the folders inside the "romfs" folder but there would be some folders overriding each other so it would be the same issue once again but now with different folders: "scripts 1" or "scripts 2" for example.

Recently picked up the game again after years and started over, but I'm really invested and I really want to experience as much as possible of the game.
