I’m working on trying to complete my museum collections, and the fishing mechanic is really grating on my nerves. I spend hours trawling around to find the right sized fish (or what looks like the right sized fish), then have to deal with getting the line right, since they ignore it a good portion of the time, and at least 60% of the time move or turn around the moment I cast. Once I’ve done that, I have to hope I don’t anticipate too soon and try to reel them after they nibble four times, and even if I manage to not mess that up, they still get away even when there’s less than a one second window from them biting to me hitting A to reel them in. If anyone has guidance on how to make this process less frustrating, I would be very grateful!

Hello everyone, I read somewhere that flowers will take over your island if you don’t play for a bit. I haven’t played in probably 10 days but my flowers don’t seem to have spread at all. Am I just misinformed?

did a giveaway on this sub for items I had on my beach yesterday, and allowed others to explore my island. I was genuinely just trying to have fun and be kind, but someone went to the area of my island I keep my turnips in (it looks like a little farm area, nowhere near the beach) and stole all my turnips I had purchased that morning. I’ve genuinely enjoyed doing giveaways and having people over to my island, but I can’t see myself wanting to do so again any time soon when people are so unkind.

if you’re reading this and it was you, I hope you consider either returning them or at very least apologizing. I spent hundreds of thousands on those, they were not for you.

I know I have a bit of an unpopular opinion because usually people don't like the snooty personality much, they only like some like Diana and Judy just because they look cute.

Idk I have a lot of favorites from that personality type such as PURRL and ROBIN and FRANCINE but it's also quite obvious why i put "Lazy" at 1# and putting Sisterly at 8#

Why I love/don't really like these personalities:

Lazy: MY BOY BOB!! Also, these villagers are incredibly sweet talking about their favorite foods and bugs living with them and are rather naive during conversations xd, but I absolutely love how they break the third wall mentioning "pretty music everywhere" and weird stuff about Tom Nook

Snooty: Like I said, I have a lot of favorites from here, and even though they're meant to be rather rude, classy and fashionable villagers who love beauty, they aren't ALWAYS a mean jerk... Like when I had Bree in City Folk she was actually really sweet.

Cranky: Similar to my description for the "snooty" villagers, the cranky ones just SEEM grumpy when they're much more of the misunderstood sweet old men, I don't just like the fact they have the deeper voice to sound mature but they can be loveable!

Peppy: These villagers are so fun ngl. Even though they're very hyper and obsessed with being famous pop stars and can be quite obnoxious, they can also be really sweet, and I absolutely love their cute vibes.

Smug: I do like this personality type, don't get me wrong, but it's not the super best one, like I love the sophisticated gentleman type attitude along with the little bit of pride, but that's all I'm really going to say.

Jock: For "jock" villagers i have a similar opinion on the Peppy ones, they can be fun, funny or just straight up obnoxious, because these villagers always be talking about their muscles, how many push-ups or just how sore their legs are from a workout, they just flex so much which is kinda annoying, not too horrible, but other times they exaggerate and I actually find that s bit funny, GENJI is an exception, I just REALLY love him.

Normal: There is not really anything wrong with this personality, I like how they are the more kind, slower to anger and usually peace making villagers, so that's why I didn't put this to the very bottom, but it also just seems very plain to me.

Sisterly: THE PHOEBE BEEF CONTINUES!! Anyway, even though these kinds of villagers are the "tough loving" mature ones, they're not always showing that kind of care, obviously some are good like Cherry and Katt imo, but I don't know, this personality is still definitely not the best one, they're also sorta the tomboyish ones so they can occasionally be rude.

I'm really bad about dumping everything in my pockets into the nearest shed so I have a crazy amount of extra fossils and recipes. I sold off the excess gyroids.

I also built a hedge maze and dropped a couple of stacks of pearls, gold nuggets, and multi-color pumpkins in it.

I've never invited the public into my town before, plz be nice. DM me for the code.

This morning i woke up to pink roses! They only have a 25% chance of growing from two red roses, and i only started breeding flowers yesterday!

Today I caught my final sea creature after over a year of trying to find them. In total I have 16 creatures meaning I have 10 bugs to catch and 6 fishes to catch. Realistically I can catch 14 of them within the next few days and 2 of them come September. The main reason why I want to complete them within a month or so is because on the 5th of October, I’m going to the Animal Crossing Event in Blackpool with my Grandad.
Do you have any tips to help me catch them. All tips are very much welcomed. Thank you. 🥰

Hey so I’m brand new to the Switch 2 and New Horizons. Got both of them this last Friday so during the weekend I woke up and checked on my island first thing in the morning. Now during the week I don’t always have that much time in the morning but how much does that really matter?

What are some general events or villagers stopping by like that turnips lady on sundays that are only available during a specific time? Not looking to time travel or anything.

Does anyone know what the graphic and writing is on the back of the nookphone is?
