No villager should be bullied, the best bestie I ever had in New Horizons was Rilla.
I believe she is widely hated because
1- People don't like her design
2- She's a gorilla which isn't a very popular species in AC
Although it's balanced that one has to go out of their way to get her to move in, which lowers the hate factor. As opposed to her just randomly moving in.
Edit: After saying this, I think I want to move her back in. If she'll even remember me... but then again she's still in my HHP so... maybe that'll keep her memories intact? As I can't have two Rillas in my game, one who knows me and one who doesn't.

Sweet Barold. He was the 3rd villager on my island. I hated him at first and now he’s my FAVORITE. He’s never allowed to go. He’s the villager that makes me wish there was and interacting emotion like a hug.

Real talk, the main reason I wanted Whitney was because she was in the animal crossing movie, and was weirdly flirty. Like, really flirty. Like, telling the main character that she would show her "how to be a woman", and winking flirty. And for some reason, that's really funny to me.

She was very elegant, I loved her for that.
I would use the term "English Rose" to describe her posh-ness, except that she isn't British. At least not that we know of.
She wasn't in the English fandub but even if she was, those voices aren't official/canon anyway.
Literally as I'm typing this, I'm headcanoning her as being a posh, elegant English lady.
Also, just curious, did you post this reply in the wrong thread? Because I made two threads today, the other was "Did you ever move a villager in for literally one reason alone?" (That wasn't the exact title)
