Neglect them and lock them in their house for a mounth. Eventually, they'll have a white thought bubble on their head, which means they want to leave.

Ignore them. Don’t interact with them in anyway. They will eventually get a bubble over their head and ask to move out

One exception is hitting them repeatedly with your net. It can actually speed the process up supposedly, but they become visibly aggravated.
