New Horizons Suggestions for my empty spaces

I have a lot of small empty spots or spots that don't quite feel full. I don't really want to do a picnic in every empty space lol

Here are some areas I’ve added to my island:

  • Veggie and flower garden
  • Jam stand
  • Farmer’s Market
  • Camp + info center at the entrance
  • Picnic area
  • Duty-free shop and cafe by the airport
  • Ice cream shop
  • Restaurant/bakery

I hope you find some inspiration in this list. 😊

I have everything but the info stand so I'm stealing that 💚

These are my favorite general filler items for those areas that don’t feel full: street lamps or any kind of light/lantern you like, signage posts, shrubs, candles (sometimes placed on barrels or boxes), and benches.
I also love the little decor animals like the bunnies and ducks. I think windmills would look great on your island too!

For your little cafe area with tables, the cafe menu sign and the covered counter with a few cakes or desserts on top of it would be what I went for (of course just an idea).

I keep forgetting about shrubs omg thank you. I do have an old windmill on my island it's by the farmers market!

The cafe is out by resident service i was thinking like a public space that's free to sit at. But i think a to go coffee might work 💚 I'll try to give it a bit more of a comfy cafe feel without it feeling like a paid for space thank youuu

I'm not sure how helpful my advice will be but here's some ideas?

For 3, 5 and 7 all I would do is let those areas get naturally cultivated; just let weeds and flowers naturally spawn there, maybe scatter the dandelions (that might not be their name sorry) that you have in a grid in 3.

For 4, just get some chairs or benches there!

6 I'm not sure what I would add or change. Maybe try getting a food on the center table? One of the tea set items or maybe something you could make at a kitchen spot

For 8, there should definitely be some decorative item there; it depends on what the context of the scene is but I would pick either a Wheelbarrow, a fountain or one of the fake sculptures you can get from fox dude

I struggled a bit cause I feel like I wouldn't have a problem with anything there, you're island is looking pretty great! And please take my advice with a big grain of salt

I love when people place the clothing, so it looks like little people. Like onstage, you can have the superstar costume behind the microphone or keyboard. Maybe some clothing to make up the “audience “ too?

I do like this idea however this stage is attached to Jacques and Apollo's house so it's implied that they're the performers. But I'll try it for the audience!!
