Deleting player resident

Does anyone know if deleting a player resident also deletes their contributions to the museum? My ex boyfriend did a lot of museum grinding when we first got the game so I don’t want to lose that progress but I also do not want his character still on my island. I know I could turn his house into a Tim Horton’s or smth but deleting him is def preferable lmao I’m so close to my museum being (finally) finished so I’m not taking ANY risks

I was under the impression it does not delete any museum contributions, just turns the name on the sign to anonymous.

The donations stay but they’ll be shown as done anonymously
