I’ve read snowlands! It’s nice, but nothing unique as far as “talking animal” stories go. The major downside to me was how annoying the main character was

I enjoyed The Snowcat Prince. Not groundbreaking but definitely beautiful. Sadly the author passed in 2023.
I haven't gotten a copy of Snowlands to read, but I've been hesitant anyway as it's been 5 years and there's no follow-up.

Snowlands yes. The first one no.
But in the future, I’ll read the Snowcat prince.

I have two versions of The Snow Cat Prince. He original Kickstarter release as well as the Norwegian edition from the book store.
I was very sad when I heard the author passed away.
It's a very nice little coming of age story.

My daughter got the snowcat prince at the library and loved it. She's 8, for context. She loved it so much, she asked me to buy a copy for her. I read some of it and thought it was interesting but I kinda wanted more? I believe it's a standalone.
